does your LO still take milk from a bottle? When should I take her off the bottles. She still gets a bottle of cows milk at nap time and at night. Am I late cutting these out?
LO still has three 6 Oz bottles a day. She won't take milk any other way at the moment. I figure it's more important to get milk in her rather then to cut out bottles. I think they say between 12-18 months at the latest to cut the bottles out.
My pedi wants them off bottles by 15 months but LO has been off them since her first birthday. She does about 10-16 oz from a cup/ day usually at breakfast and dinner. She also loves yogurt and cheese so if she doesn't drink a lot of milk on a particular day I make sure she gets other calcium rich foods.
DD does three 5oz bottles a day. First thing in the morning, just before nap and just before bed. I can probably drop the nap bottle but I dread dropping the morning and night bottle. She is so attached to those two.
When I'm at work, LO has a bottle of milk in the morning for my mom. The other times she drinks it out if a sippy or straw cup. When H is home with her (once a month or so), he doesn't give her the morning bottle and she's fine. I'm going to have my mom drop that bottle after we get back from vacation in a couple weeks.
Did it take a while for them to actually drink it from the sippy cup. In annoying her being at her constantly with drink and food. At her appt the pedi said he'd like her to gain a few. Im always at her offering a sip of juice/water or a snack. She's a grazer. In just completely thrown for a loop bc it would prob take all day for her to finish 4oz of milk from a sippy.
