Anyone BTDT... 32w found out baby B's placenta/cord has no flow

I know I previously posted abt discordance. I had my 32w follow up scan Friday & boys r now at 28% discordance (previously 19%). A grew 1lb in 2weeks to 4lbs total & B grew 1/2lb to 3lbs total. Baby B hit the 10th%tile, while A is at 42%. Did a Doppler check on baby B's cord insertion & found the resistance of blood flow to be 5.9 which doc considers to be very abnormal (under 3 is normal). So now I'm back on hospital bed rest & if nothing gets worse (like reverse flow) looks like I'll deliver at 34w unless by some miracle baby b drastically improves somehow & I can go longer.

I guess this just seems surreal to me. I could really be delivering in less than 2 weeks. I'm kind of in denial, like things could get better. Anyone have any experience? Can the placenta & blood flow really improve? I just don't see how... TIA!

In the end I know they will be ok. I was just really hoping to get to 36w. So I'm just kind of bummed something else is going not so hot.

I don't have experience with the cord flow but I did have my twins at 32 wks. Like you I wanted to carry as long as I could and was upset when I found out i was going to deliver early. My two are doing great and I'm sure yours will too whenever you have them.

And don't stress about all the stuff that isn't done yet. There's a good chance they will need nicu time, while it is hard to leave your babies there it also gives you a chance to get somethings ready at home.

If they are worried that there is no flow to baby b, why didn't they deliver you already? It seems riskier to wait and see if somehow it gets better in two weeks than to just deliver the babies. Am I missing something? I don't really know much about cord insertion.

I misunderstood the doctor. I have abnormal flow. Now they r watching for the next stage which is no/reverse flow in which case they will deliver me. I was just curious if anyone had this happen & it got better or how quick the flow got worse?

I know a gal who was in the same situation as you but hers were mo mo. She was out on bed rest and monitored so closely. Hers never went reverse and in fact the flow improved and she delivered at 38 weeks! She was crazy about gaining a ton on good calories and her babies grew well. She was drinking two ensures every day. Stay positive it can get better!!
