STM breastfeeding in public

STM's with older kids under 3 years old how do you handle breastfeeding baby in public if you are out with both kids alone?

When DH is with me I have no problem doing so anywhere as he can manage our 2yr old. However when I take the two out alone I find myself taking a bottle of pumped milk along because I just can't imagine my 2yr old sitting patiently anywhere while I breastfeed the baby. With a bottle I can just feed her in her car seat/stroller and still be able to wrangle the 2yr old pretty well.

I nurse her while I walk around after the boys, or nurse her in the Moby.

I've made sure to keep a toy or book in the diaper bag. I play with or read to DS1 while I nurse DS2. DS1 has been pretty good about being patient. I try to make it back to my car when I can, though.

Either jad is in his stroller or I picked a closed in play area and set up shop there.

Depends on where we are.  If we are at a store the older ones have to sit in the cart while I nurse, usually in a handicape fitting room.  If we are someplace the boys can run around i.e. park or library, I just pick a spot were I can see them and nurse there.

@mslynn2012‌ Slight high jack here: how do you nurse while LO is in the moby? I guess I haven't figured our how to do this....do u whip your boob out before putting LO in? Pull er out while she's already in there?Just curious as to the logistics. I won't be bringing my 3u3 anywhere by myself anytime soon, but it would still be nice to know how y'all do it

Glad to see I'm not the only one struggling with this.

I could try nursing her in my wrap I guess but since DS has figured out that when mommy is nursing at home is the "best" time to get away with things I am afraid this will carry into public and I will be chasing down a two year old with my boob hanging out and trying not to snap DD's head off (I use a k'tan and I don't think it has the head/neck support to be literally running down a child)

Shopping carts and strollers are out too because my little Houdini can get himself unbuckled from just about anything and will not stay put in either if he doesn't want to which is basically anytime the cart/stroller is not moving.

I feel like the only way I will be able to nurse in public when I am on my own is if we are at a contained activity where I need to keep an eye on him but he can't really escape so for now I think I will stick to pumped milk out of a bottle

I'm still struggling nursing in public. I always take a bottle of pumped milk. Not that I don't want to just makes me nervous. I would be interested in how you mothers can do it in the Moby wrap.
