Cloth Diapering

Honest Company vs Seventh Generation Touch of Cloth

I know we were discussing this a few months back. I have since bought both brands and the Honest Company disposables are better.

The tabs on the Seventh Generation diapers don't stick hardly at all. Not cool when you have a night pooper and a busy sleeper. I'll leave out the details. ;)

The Honest Company seem to be made better. They have better elastic in the legs and better tabs. The cute prints are a plus, but not a deciding factor.

Both diapers don't absorb as much as the regular disposables, but they work for my average wetters that sleep 12 hours. I have to change them right when they wake, though.

Re: Honest Company vs Seventh Generation Touch of Cloth

  • We liked Honest when we needed to use disposables for our long traveling days (US to UK).  But overnight, we actually use Luvs.
  • I love Huggies Snug and Dry, but I can't stand the smell after its peed in. They are unscented, but have a funny smell once they get wet. So gross.

  • I liked the Honest diapers when we tries them, but even the next size up was definitely not enough for DS overnight. We have to use Luvs or Pampers at night. I will not buy Huggies because of the smell.
  • I tried the Seventh Generation Touch of Cloth and the diaper tabs did get unstuck.  That, and for about 1/2 the pack, it seemed like part of the back of the diaper (the highest part that is against the baby's back) was manufactured wrong.  It was folded over in some of the diapers and I had a lot of up-the-back messes.  Seventh Generation gave my money back for 2 packs of diapers, which was cool.

I like Honest Company.  I also like Babyganics. I haven't had any come apart and they seem to absorb pretty well.

  • I love the 7th Generation Touch of Cloth! I do like Honest too, but we use 7th Gen normally. I haven't had any issues with the tabs other than Cade undoing them in his pants.

Pampers are the worst smelling disposable in my opinion. Especially the cruisers :-&
