I need to be an AW (not current baby related, previous loss mentioned)

Hi! I know I don't post here much, but I'm so excited and needed a place to be an AW.My other boards don't feel appropriate so I'll bug you guys.

My husband and I lost our first son after being in the hospital for a few months. I had been exclusively pumping the whole time. Most of my milk was in a deep freezer at our house, but a good amount was at the hospital. After our son passed away we left the hospital and I didn't think of the milk until after we were home. I was so sad to have wasted it all. Especially once I found out I was pregnant again. What a waste

I forgot I had mentioned to one of the nutritionists at the hospital that I was considering donating my milk. Last week the breast milk donation center in my state contacted me because my milk was about to expire...the hospital didn't throw it away, they sent it to be donated! I was able to get my blood work and forms completed in time to donate 133 ounces of breast milk that will be given to preemies and/or kids with digestive problems. That is over a gallon! I'm so excited, it feels awesome to be able to help babies

Thank you, and thank you for "saying" Lincoln's name I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but hearing our babies' names means a lot to loss moms.
