Has anyone heard of this?

https://hikeitbaby.com/

My mom takes K to library on Thursdays and two ladies were handing out cards and on their way to a walk. Has anyone done this or heard of it? It looks kind of cool for our area, although I didn't explore other cities much. There is actually one today about a mile from our house. I'm thinking after this baby of trying it, we'll see. PDX folks, I looked and today alone there were like 5 hikes in the area.

Sorry if this is against the TOS, if so let me know and I'll take it down! I don't think so, there is no fee associated with it I don't think. Just wondering if anyone has done it and for some feedback if so.

Yes, I think I read about it in Metro Parent.

How, may I ask, is Peacock Lane a hike? I mean I do walk there from my house and back to look at lights, but they are meeting in the parking lot across the street?

  • NM is lame. NM is lame in so many ways but this is the worst (term used loosely) because this is actually something I'd love to participate in!

  • @queenbone - Yeah, some are more strolls than actual hikes. Nice though that they are varying levels of difficulty for those that are less hard-core about it. It would be a drive for you PDX folks, but the Salmon Creek Trail is really pretty, and the entire way is paved too for stroller-pushers. And Lucia Falls is even further but it's gorgeous in that area.

  • I could certainly be up for something, especially if it is stroller friendly. I'm pretty out of shape and worry that most of these are more hard core outdoorsy people.

  • Same queenbone. Once this baby is here I really want to try easier ones.
