I picked this one up at target. It's simple, but cute and was only $5, I think. You can engrave it, so we will probably get his name and DOB put on it after the craziness of the holidays settles down.
We don't buy our "baby's first christmas" ornaments. Family always ends up getting them, so I like to wait and see what they get before going out and getting our own. MIL is at least good for Lenox ornaments (she's gotten one for DS every year so far).

I'm considering this, because we did get some for older DS from other people. Also, I've thought they will really be marked down the day after Christmas, so if DD doesn't get any then we can buy them after.
I didn't get one specifically made for first Christmas but I did find a pascal one at the Disney store that I couldn't resist because it had her facial expression.
We bought the Sophie the Giraffe ornament. It was more than I wanted to spend, but it's her favorite teething toy, and she has accumulated a lot of different giraffe things, so I like that those memories/stories will go along with it. The only first Christmas thing it has is the ribbon, but I think I may get a gold Sharpie to add to it.
Can you have too many baby's 1st Christmas ornaments?! Lol. I know my parents will be getting DD a halmark one. There is a dumbo one from the disney store I want. DH and I always choose a new ornament to add to the tree every year and we thought we'd get one for DD.
This is not really a 1st Christmas ornament, but it kind of is.
Yule Hogs from Halmark - because we have always said whenever DD burps, those are her piggies and we're gonna send them to the farm. These piggies sing, it's so cute!
I also have a handprint ornament from Halmark to make and I wanted to do a salt dough ornament. I think I need to reign it in lol.
I got G a one of a kind hand painted one and they personalized it for free i couldn't make up my mind on any of the others and this one's just perfect.
Hallmark tonight. It looks like a Moses basket and on the side it says "Nine months in the making". Super cute and not too expensive. It will go in her stocking. We will get her one every year and send them with her when she gets her first tree as a grown up.

I did the Hallmark handprint ornament! I sure hope the paint is non-toxic, because I was aboard the failboat that day and as soon as I got done putting his hand on the paper, he stuck his paint-covered hand in his mouth! Now we have the lovely Christmas memory of me scraping paint off his tongue.
I'm also going to try to do the salt dough ornament, but probably will have to wait till Christmas eve or Christmas day. If I do it Christmas day, I might take some of it so his cousin can make one, too.
Re: Baby's First Christmas tree Ornaments
I went with this one because it was the closest I could get to matching DS1's ornament

Yeah I noticed some very random ones on that site, something I will keep in mind for more of a gag gift exchange
