SIS and endometrial biopsy?

Hi ladies. I had my meeting with the RE this morning which was initially going to be my IVF consult but ended up being a little more. I've had some wonky cycles since my D&C in August, including random mid cycle bleeding and a short LP. The RE wants to do a SIS as well as an endometrial biopsy to rule out any uterine/lining issues possibly contributing to our RPL. I know neither of these procedures will help address egg quality issues but I'm glad we're moving forward and trying to rule things out.

Has anyone had either of these done? Since I have a high deductible plan and have met my deductible for the year the RE is squeezing me in Friday morning. I'm looking online for what to expect and it just seems like I will be cramping afterwards. Any input/experience is much appreciated!

FET 9/23/15 = BFFN
Natural FET 11/4/15 = BFP!
Beta 9dp5dt = 92

    SIS like a saline sonohysterogram, right? I had that a few months ago. It is no big deal, kind of like an iui except you leak what seems like a lot of fluid all over the place.

    Also, hats off to the RE for doing something to accommodate you! I feel like my office would laugh at me if I tried something like that!

    Thanks @fuzzbumble.  I believe that is what it is.  I will make sure to pack a pad.

    And I'm super appreciative they were flexible like that but I think it was mostly because I had to wait an hour for my appt. since the RE was running late.  I think he felt really bad because he kept apologizing throughout the appt.  But if it helps me get this done ASAP I'll take it! ;)

    Just had both of these done last month. The sis is no big deal...however the biopsy can be a bit painful...take some ibuprofen an hour before the procedure. Feels like really bad cramps, lasted for a day along with a day or two of spotting.

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies.

    I had a saline soon done last week and didn't feel a thing. I did take some Motrin before the procedure just in case. I didn't have a biopsy done so I am not sure what that feels like. Good luck.

    I have had 2 salines now. Like the others said, it was nbd. My office has a basket of pads in the exam rooms for after which is fantastice since I don't even think I own any at this point.

    I just wanted to say I'm so glad your RE is letting you get this in before the end of the year! I, too, hit my max OOP limit this year, so I've been trying to get in all the testing, etc. that I can before the year ends.

    IVF #2.2 May 2015 - horrible response to micro lupron flare protocol: 3R, 3M, 3F. 3dt of 2 Grade 3 embies. BFFN. 

    BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).

    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!
