I'm such a klutz!

I had a great lunch with a friend visiting from out of town and as I was getting back to my office, I dropped my car key down the elevator shaft.  That little bitty crack between the elevator and the lobby.  yep.  I have no excuses...I really wish I could blame pregnancy brain or something but I'm just a klutz...

Wow! I think the real question is: how is it that you carry around a loose car key??

My keys are on one of those things with the rotating pieces so you can remove them from the big hub.  I don't like having all my keys hanging from the ignition while I'm driving.  I usually stick it back on the main keychain before I get out of the car, but I wasn't thinking today...clearly...

Building management was able to retrieve my key. All is good.
