Trying to Get Pregnant

Pregnant after Chemical Pregnancy?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this board so nice to meet you all! Like many of you, my DH and I have been TTC. We are now on month #6.

I have a 26-28 day cycle and I usually O fairly late...usually around CD 18. In November, I O'd CD18, and tests + with a HPT 10 DPO. Then, on 14 DPO I woke up to heavy bleeding which I counted as CD1. I am now CD32 / 12 DPO with no period in sight. I did O late this month on CD20 but, my luteal phase seems to be fairly short as is...my doesn't seem concerned. But, I've been taking B6 which hopefully will help over time.

My breasts are sore (nipples hurt to touch), I'm fatigued and have felt very bloated. My CM is creamy. Absolutely no spotting or sign of implantation bleeding. I have been taking my BBT and its been steadily increasing from 97.6 to 98.3 for the last 5-6 days. I have taken a HPT 10 DPO and 11 DPO and I see a sign of "something". It's definitely a squinter and I need to hold it up to see but I know I can see something. I am a little terrified that I may have another chemical pregnancy but I'm really really hoping if I am pregnant that this one sticks.....

Anyone else going through the same thing?

  • Sorry for your loss.

First of all, ignore the symptoms. A positive test will happen before symptoms. I get those symptoms every month and have never been KU.

Keep testing until you get a clear positive or start your period. If you get to 60 days without either, call your doctor.

  • I always think the slightest change in my body means I'm pregnant. Better to not rely on those symptoms unless a test says you are pregnant. It will drive you crazy if you focus on those little things.
  • Thank you everyone. I very aware of any changes in my body...I never get sore breasts before AF. With AF, I usually have severe bloating, spotting (for 1 day about 2 days before actual AF comes). It's hard to ignore the symptoms since my breasts were the first symptom I noticed last month with the chemical pregnancy. Same feeling...but the discomfort is much stronger this time around.

I just want AF to come if I'm not preggo...seems so cruel if my body was playing tricks on me so soon after my chemical. I did see a line on the HPT...but an extremely faint one. Maybe I am testing early...or maybe I O'd later than I thought! A girl can only hope :)

  • Thank you LindsRockies :) I am testing a bit earlier than I did the last time...and that probably wasn't the best idea in theory. But, my "symptoms" felt much stronger from the get-go...and of course I am just impatient and hoping for a nice holiday surprise lol.
