November 2013 Moms

Wednesday whining..

My baby is sick.. ) : I was up at 3:30 this morning because he was tossing and turning then he started throwing up so I flung him on his belly so he wouldn't choke and he puked all over both of us.. DH changed the bed sheets while we showered. I called into work and the baby sitter. We're gonna snuggle and watch Christmas movies all day. ( :

I so want to do the pregnant bumpee check in but after my 12 week appointment tomorrow.

How's everyone else?

  • Thanks @Mommyxtwo1113‌

At least with no work today I'll be a better bumpee!
  • Hugs @jodiAnn25

Life began when I saw your face

    I.J.C. born 11.3.13

  • @Peachsma‌ma I home he gets to feeling better soon!

@TJHine‌ Sorry you had such a rough night.

    Sorry for your loss @JodiAnn25‌

Just another day at work. I have to leave early since my SMIL couldn't watch Evie today and my mom could only watch her til 2:30. I think we'll go finish our Christmas shopping!

Things in my office are weird. Since I don't report to anyone in my office anymore, the head manager at my location shares a lot of information with me...information that makes me regret the decision I made to not accept another position when I had the opportunity. I'm still being told I won't lose my job, but I don't feel good about things.
  • This has just been an off week so far. Blah. Between my husband having finals at school during the day and evening hours and me working at night and having classes at work during the day a couple days, and J having a snotty nose and throwing fits over goldfish - I just want a do over this week.
@PeachsMama‌ I hope there is no more puking in your future today! :)
@TJHine‌ nothing but support and hugs for you today!
@JodiAnn25‌ sounds like a fun day - enjoy sharing memories with your daughter!
@tgrimes1980‌ migraines suck. That is all.
  • @BrittAnnie19‌ those look fun! Thank you! ATM he has a couple Etch-A-Sketch type pads with a little pen that he likes using to draw. I think he would love those Melissa and Doug pens.

@JodiAnn25‌ I'm sorry you're feeling down today, hope your outing with Josie helps.

Another crazy work day. I swear we'll never dig out of this hole. And our main production system is down, so there's a huge backlog of cases I can't even touch. So frustrating.

@tgrimes1980‌ it seems like you get migraines a lot? Have you tried any prescriptions? I used to get complicated migraines but now if I start to feel it coming on I take an Imitrex and that helps 95% of the time.

Yes.  I've tried a lot of medications, but still haven't found anything that really helps, unfortunately.  Sometimes a hydrocodone & wine takes the edge off, but it's probably frowned upon if I were to do that at work.  ;)

I've gone to a few neurologists, kept food/sleep/stress diaries, had MRIs, etc.  I wish I could figure out what triggers them.  My BIL figured out his were caused by aspartame.  Weird.

I'm sorry, that's so frustrating. Pete gets them if he has MSG.

@mwhipple77 oh, for sure. There is a lot to be said for flexibility and having some 'seniority'. I hope everything works out for you! I'm probably just paranoid b/c of my experiences :)

I'm extremely paranoid as well, 4 years ago I was asked to resign from a job I had been at for 4 years. It sucked. I had no savings because I was completely irresponsible and had just gotten divorced. Its taken me this long and a couple of jobs to help rebuild my career back to where I was. Fortunately DH and I are smarter and have savings to fall back on if something did happen, but its a huge blow to the self esteem when something like that happens!

@lfigge‌ I'm glad you finally spoke to the doctor and are on your way to some answers. Lots of prayers for you and LO!
  • @karissa2009 You guys really need to catch a break.

@wedding06 A was out if control last week. I think it was the combination of his flu and teething but who knows? It's hard carrying around a huge baby. He freaked it one of us wasn't holding him. The last 5 days he's been super happy though. Hope it passes quickly with C.
  • @Karissa2009 and @wedding06 I wish my daycare would do naked time, we're right back in diaper rash hell again ourselves. I finally talked to the DCP this morning about the fact that yes, it gets better when B is home with us and gets worse, or returns, when she is in daycare. I know its not intentional but its the truth.

@lfigge hope you have a good doctors visit and get some helpful information. Its great that you have family nearby in case it turns into a long stay.

I'm obviously not being very productive at work today, just not feeling it!

Also had a crazy talk with one of my closests friends last night and I'm just so torn on what to do/ how to feel about her right now. Without getting into it too much her whole life is just a mess right now and she just totaled her car in a terrible accident that she is lucky to be alive from (thanks to strangers that rescued her).
I may post in the group just to vent, she's such a sweet girl but she makes terrible choices and I have a hard time relating because alot of her struggles are mental....ok sorry so random.

    Back to pretend working!

    @karissa2009 I don't want to win the Pain Olympics. : )
We've had weeks where we felt like you do now, that something, anything, just needs to go right. It's rough. I really hope you get a break.

@karissa2009‌ are you GS? I get paid on the 24th next. But I do know payroll is accelerated through DFAS, so you might get it earlier.

ETA: do you bank with USAA? I always get paid early with them.

  • T's and P's for you and your DH @ggandlee, it sounds very stressful waiting until then, try to think positive until then.

Thank you @Sing2phins and @karissa2009 I thought I was maybe crazy because I couldn't figure out WHY it keeps getting worse at daycare, so I'm glad not alone.
I'm not upset at DCP for it, I think she does try to be very attentive and she truly cares for LO, I just want to figure out how to prevent this cycle!

Im hoping some of it may be teething related?!?! And I think all I can do is keep giving her baths and naked time at home. If you find anything else that helps please let me know!

Well it is official, I have the biter at DC. I don't know what to do about it. She tries to bite me or Tim at home, mostly when she is frustrated and tired. We tell her No, and that we don't like it, biting hurts ect. I have been anticipating hearing this from daycare. Anyone have any advice?

I am sure if luke was in daycare he would be a biter too. I am helpless when it comes to this.
  • @ggandlee I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys! Lots of love!

No advice really, but I have a biter as well. I have found she generally only bites when tired, so when it starts, its time to try a nap. Not sure how that will work at daycare though. Good luck!

How much snow are you supposed to get overnight? We have 1-3" forecasted, I told the girl that works for me to come in an hr or two late. People flip out with the first snow, like completely forget how to drive! Be careful, I heard we may get some ice too.

That is what we are predicted to get as well. I hear you on people flipping out lol, and with so much military, some of them have NEVER driven in snow, let alone ice. They either drive too fast and end up in a ditch or drive too slow and piss people off. So tomorrow should be interesting.

  • @Sing2phins‌ so do you work for the govt?I thought so but then convinced myself I was wrong...

  • @BrittAnnie19‌ I seriously Lol'd! Yeah, there isn't much besides redirect to do at this age. At DC she will just have to stay by a teacher if she starts trying to bite again.

I've had a 2 hr drive home too one snow day on an early release when EVERYONE left post at exactly the same time. Stagger that shit! Learned my lesson, I usually wait a bit now and then go the back way lol.

  • @ggandlee‌ Hugs to you and prayers that everything will go smoothly.
  • Miserable ATM, cant breath through my nose and couldnt taste dinner, I know these problems are nothing compared to what others are dealing with. So hugs to everyone tonight!
