I went to the post office to send out a package and the older gentleman behind the counter says to me "So whatcha got in there?" before he leans over the counter to touch my stomach. I responded with "there's a burrito in there." He looked a little surprised and caught off guard. I know he was just trying to make small talk so I just smiled at him and didn't even bring up the stomach touching.
I really hate traffic this time of year. I mean really, really hate.
I've decided to make fried chicken tenders for dinner tonight with hush puppies and I've got cookies in the oven.
I hope everyone is having a good day and for those who aren't, I hope the day gets better.
It's not Thursday but I have two throat punches...
I have been asking my admin for weeks what they plan to do while I'm out on leave and I never got a clear answer. If I'm out sick, a sub isn't called for me so they weren't sure if they were going to get a sub, send my groups to other intervention teacher, or have the principal take over (she used to teach intervention). I got an email from my Vice Principal today asking for two weeks of lesson plans by Friday (last day before break) and they will take over from there. WTF?!
I'm also pissed at the after school program that uses my room. They have been leaving my room a mess. Tables get moved without getting put back so my pregnant ass has to do it. This morning, I walk in and there are chairs everywhere. I left a nice note asking them to put things back but we'll see.
Random: when I go pee and try to wipe I feel like a t-rex trying to wipe.
Today would've been my last day of work, but I agreed to work the 29th and 30th because I figured I'd just be at home anyway. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea. Lol
First Drs appt in 3 weeks is tomorrow, with sonogram and first cervical check. Excited/anxious to see how that will go.
Someone brought peppermint popcorn (like caramel popcorn but with crushed peppermint in it) to work. I can't decide if I like it, but hey - a free snack!
I left work early today because my SI joint pain was so bad I just wanted to lay in bed with a heating pad. Luckily my boss is cool about stuff like that. I have a great job but I am just so over even having to go in right now. Only 13 more actual work days until maternity leave! I can't wait!
My kids have been being ass holes to each other the past 2 days, and I've been trying to catch up on work... so I've been ignoring a few things! Well AH #1 decides he doesn't like what AH #2 is doing to AH #3 and is yelling at AH #2. I come in and tell him to back off that it's not his job. To which he replies.... "Well I wouldn't have to if you were doing your job!" What!?! Since when did we get a new miniature executive manager of the household? Oh, the look on his face when he had to spend the rest of the afternoon in his room. He knew he messed up!
Sooooo much pressure down there it is sometimes hard to stand up...... silly lo. Husband already found cats sleeping in bassinet.... sigh....... lasted less than 24 hours. As predicted I am slightly amused
I am so grateful for my kids school staff. They are awesome. My kids were placed on the school staff angel tree because of me being in and out of hospital since October. The teachers that drew their names picked out some awesome gifts for them. On top of that I was given a gift card to use towards any groceries or anything I may need to get to complete christmas shopping. I honestly started crying because I have never experienced such generosity and I am feeling so blessed and thankful. We really had to budget this year and FI has been working 7 days a week to make up for income lost due to me being out of work in Oct. And being placed on modified bed rest now.
Tomorrow I go back for my followup to see if my cervix is more "favorable" now to be induced and have a successful vbac, if not then csection is what I am going with. We have to make our decision tomorrow the route we want to take because babygirl is being evicted from the womb as early as Sunday due to gestational hypertension/pre-e. I am pretty certain that csection is going to be the best and safest route for me and babygirl.
Ahhhhhhhhh my cousin had her baby!! Sweet little girl I'm so excited for this monster to have a slightly older cousin (2nd ... once removed? I don't know!) to play with!
