just found out that I have shingles! I'm hoping and praying my daughter won't get chicken pox from it:( my pediatrician doesn't seem too worried, just said to keep the spots covered and wash hands well. They are on my tail bone, butt cheek, and leg so that should be easy. Oh and my situation! Thought I just had a really bad YI. Hurts so bad

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I haven't had it but I've known many who have. Definitely take care of yourself as much as a mom of an infant can.

Yes I did get antivirals. Mine is mild too judging from the pictures you can find online, but you are right-even mild is awful

My first case was completely random. The other two I got during college finals lol. They gave me the same meds they give for herpes, since shingles is s strain of that (just not genital lol)

My hubs gets them from time to time, his are stress related. Calamine helps him get some temporary relief.
