We are heading out of town this Friday for an 11 day trip over the holidays. Our son has just outgrown his infant car seat. The convertible we chose is way too heavy and bulky to travel with. I am considering buying a travel car seat. I've seen some online with good reviews for $60 which doesn't seem too bad given how much we travel. We take at least 10-12 trips a year. Does anyone have any experience with travel convertible seats or suggestions on which one to go with? Looks like both Grayco and Evenflo make one. I guess this post is probably better in the baby gear forum but I thought it would get more looks here so thanks in advance!

I have seen the cosco scenera and the evenflo mentioned frequently as two that are affordable and good for travel.

We're lazy, so we just rent the car seat from the car rental company each time. We lug enough things around with little man, and it's nice to have one less thing to worry about.
