Happy Hanukkah!

For those on here who are also celebrating Hanukkah, which starts tonight, just wanted to write a quick note to say happy Hanukkah! To the rest of you, happy holidays! Thanks to everyone on here for being so kind to me since I joined the board. You have helped me immensely. Wish I could give you all a hug and give you a potato latke (I made the batch below with my mom and sister) :)

    Happy Hanukkah! My best friend celebrates. Those latkes look soooo good.  I wish I could get some via the internet.

    Happy Hanukkah! Makes me miss my bestie up north: I'd celebrate Hanukkah with her and she'd celebrate Christmas with me. AND those latkes look amazing!!! Mmmmm

    TTC journey started 12/2012

    BFP #1 6/5/2013, MC confirmed 6/26/2013 @ 7 wks

    BFP#2 8/25/2013 MC confirmed 10/16/2013 @ 12 wks (D&C 10/18)

    Diagnosis: unexplained RPL, unexplained IF.

    Also have hypothyroidism

    Started TTC again 12/2013

     

    IUI#1:Clomid CD 3-7, Trigger'ed CD 12. IUI CD 14. BFN

    IUI #2:Letrozole CD 3 - 7, Follistim CD 9, Trigger CD 10, IUI CD12. BFN

    Current plan: IVF with PGD. Antagonist - Vivelle Protocal. Stim start 12/1. ER 12/14.

    I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

    Mind = Blown. I just googled "latke", and I HAVE had them! We just always called them potato pancakes. My grandma made them all the time. My fav is with applesauce!  

    Edit - stupid smileys. Still broken. Boo.

    Potato latkes (aka potato pancakes) are super easy to make. You just need some grated potatoes (russet are fine), grated onions, one egg, some matzo meal (to make them stick together), and garlic powder, salt, and pepper for seasoning. Form the mixture into patties and then fry in a pan with vegetable oil. I like mine topped with sour cream :)

    Happy chanuka!!!! Im jewish too and celebrate chanuka! I made some latkes yesterday as well! :) and donuts too! Super delish! :) yummi!!! Enjoy the festival of lights and the miracle of the oil!

    @monicababayov1, thank you and happy Hanukkah to you as well! I've never made doughnuts, but that sounds awesome. I'm sure they were all really yummy!
