TTC After a Loss

Fertility Blend??

I thought I would be able to find a ton of threads using the search engine on here, but I can't find any recent.
ANYWAY, my co-worker and I are trying to find information on Fertility Blend. I'm not thinking of trying it, she asked me (She is currently between RE's TTC for 3 years done medicated cycles and 1 IUI, no issues with her DH's SA) and so now I'm asking y'all. Anyone ever tried it? Did anything change? heard anything about it?

Re: Fertility Blend??

  • I second what @jj32 says about the vitex being a big area of concern. Vitex can affect estrogen levels and if you have a condition like endometriosis or fibroids (often undiagnosed) vitex can worsen them.

All herbs and vitamin supplements should be cleared with your doctor first.

  • I would just stick to an OOTC daily vitamin, or one recommended by a doctor. "ProprietaryBlends" always makes me nervous.

  • Thanks ladies :)
She definitely wont be taking anything without talking to her new RE.
I told her things that prey on a certain group of people always make me nervous. She was curious as everyone in one of her Facebook support groups were talking about it.

  • I did not take the female version but dh did take the male version at the suggestion of both RE and Uro. And his counts did increase a decent amount. That said - I totally agree she shouldn't take anything without REs say so. You mention no problems with her dh SA but don't say if she has a dx or if they are unexplained.

  • @Katib77
Shes in limbo right now, she had the dx of "unexplained" and then the dx of PCOS with a RE rushing her to do IUI's so she can "start talking about the next step"
Most recently after a long cycle and pain she had a U/S done and results came back that she "Did not meet criteria of PCOS" (this was a U/S done outside of her old fertility clinic- appt with new fertility clinic is not for another 4 weeks, where she plans on asking about fertility blend to hear the RE's opinion)

Thanks everyone for your input! :)
