Hi ladies!

First of all congrats on being PUPO @Davie813, FX you have some make it to freeze!

I'm sending my good vibes and good luck to @Nickolie93 for your first RE appt and to @meredithcarole for your surgery tomorrow!

I had an u/s yesterday at 5w2d and saw a yolk sac and a gestational sac and everything is on track so far.  It is still early though and I will be anxious till my next u/s on 12/29.

QOTW:  We don't have any traditions yet.  The first year H and I lived together I was so sick and I think I had the flu.  Last year we were at the inlaws and sat around with them and H's nephew watching TV, party animals that we are.  We did go out to a nice dinner, though.

Hey ladies is has been way too long since I checked in but I lurk every now and then and I am rooting for all of you!

I am 33 weeks with twin boys and i has been a roller coaster the last few weeks. Babies are doing well but my body is DONE.  The babies will be delivered early due to preeclampsia and it is really a week by week thing at this point.  I am praying we get them to 35 weeks! We have had the steriod shots and they have awesome weights (over 5lbs and 75th percentile) so I know they will be ok but of course want to avoid NICU.

QOTW:  We really don't have any NYE traditions.  I am usually too tired to stay up till midnight!

Hello ladies  Hope you are all well.

I found out I am negative for GD.. yay!  H & I seem to be recovering from our latest bugs.  I'm feeling well overall, but still need a lot of extra sleep.  

In spite of calling for a couple of months, my delivery hospital could not find me a slot for a maternity tour.  They are, however, nice enough to let us show up on a Sunday and have a nurse show us around.

QOTW:  We have an unfortunate and very accidental tradition of ruining our NYE plans.  We end up so tired from holiday travel or hosting that we just want to relax in place of going out or watching fireworks.  Last year, we were neither traveling nor hosting, but didn't want to deal with the NYE crowds.  Shameful, I know!

Hey there! I am behind on my boards lol. I've been feeling frazzled lately and so tired. 30 wks! I've been trying to put together the nursery and go through all the baby stuff from my shower. Oh and OB gave me another script for my cough Yep I still have it.

QOTW: When we wete dating we always went out with friends then it turned out going to house parties now it's stay at home haha. We go to SIL's to eat the next day if we feel like.

@BeckyP005 I still have a cough every now and then too.  Bronchitis is nasty stuff.

@ksgsmu hard to believe you are so close.  Hope they little guys get to bake a little longer.

I just want to say how great you ladies are.  I know you have had some mini drama and you guys have been amazing.  Hugs for the nastiness you guys got.

I am 7 weeks and hanging in there.  Nausea has started and I have never been so happy to have it.  I'm starting to feel more confident that I will be here for the long haul. 12 days until my first appointment.  @tlc35 looks like we are appointment twinkies.  I can't wait to go public so I can start wearing my maternity pants.  Left over baby belly and bloating make for uncomfortable times.  The good thing is school is done Friday, so I can live in yoga pants for the next 2 weeks.

We don't have any NYE traditions.  Watch the ball drop and have champagne but that's it.  NYD we usually take down the tree.  This year, if all goes well at our appointment, then we will tell family NYD.  Both our parents just got smart phones and started text messaging, so we will send a text of the u/s picture with the caption "A new year will bring in a new lcwed."  It will be neat to see how long it takes them to see and respond to the text.

Can't believe I'm posting here this week. According to my ovulation date, I'm 5w today. Not much to report, I am just trying to eat well, stay active and drink tons of water. I've been thirsty and I've had a few slightly nauseous moments, but certainly nothing to complain about.

My first prenatal appointment will be the 29th. I won't actually be 8w at that point, but they're basing it on the 1st day of my last period. Hopefully, doc will change my due date since I ovulated on day 22. When I went for my annual visit in August (before we even started trying), he didn't think I was ovulating at all because my cycles were 35+ days and suggested clomid. My temps/FF showed a clear ovulation date. And it seemed so premature to me! My husband was out of town on military orders for 2.5 months at the time, so we hadn't even started trying yet.... not even in the same zip code. I feel like my first appt will be an "I told you so". Ha!

NYE traditions? Well, it used to be going out with friends and getting drunk back in the day. But since my daughter came along, it's staying home and just hanging out until midnight when we kiss and have a glass of champagne - just my DH and me. It's a lot less trouble actually!

Hi ladies! Congrats on the nausea, @lcwed! I joke, but I totally understand how reassuring it can be. I've been pretty symptomless and while I'm trying to thank my lucky stars, it can be unnerving.

However...this past Monday I had an appointment with my doctor and the BF and I heard the heartbeat on the doppler! I didn't get a report on the heartrate, but we heard it strong and clear, and it sounded robust. What. A. Relief. I teared up, and I think my BF did too (I couldn't quite tell from my position, but he was emotional to be sure).

Also, I finally told someone IRL! I broke the news to my best friend who lives abroad yesterday. She was of course overjoyed. She's the first close friend of mine to have a child (now nearly 3 years old) so it will be so so good to bounce my questions and concerns off her (in addition to the awesome support and advice here on TB).

Now that I've heard the heartbeat and shared the news with someone, it feels even more real and exciting!

As for NYE: We don't have any traditions as such. We plan to go out for a nice meal with another couple, and then who knows? It's our first Xmas/NYE in our home, so maybe just a relaxing evening in? Sounds very anticlimactic, but it may be just the thing. I think we're going to tell the BF's mom and step-dad on NYD, so that will be exciting! We bought a onesie that says "c. 2015" on the front, so we'll see how long it takes for them to figure it out.

Congratulations to those of you who are nearing ever closer to L&D! Exciting times!

Dec 29th is going to be a big day around these parts.  It is also my brother's birthday so maybe that will give us a bit of luck!

Hi Ladies - 

34+4 here.  Feeling ok - though I get fatigued easily these days, and my once very brisk walking pace has slowed to what feels like a crawl.  Even DH who (I think) walks slow is sometimes a step or two ahead of me and I have to remind him to slow down for me!  And sadly I do find I waddle sometimes  Though I have learned if I slow down and am careful I can avoid waddling!

Nursery is getting closer to ready and we are putting in the car seat this weekend I think.  I am also going to pack my bag this weekend - I don't anticipate I will need it until at least 40 weeks (thinking I will be late since my mom was late with both of us, sister was late with her first - which turned into C, so 2nd was RCS).  But I know it is better to have it and be prepared than not.

QOTW: No real NYE traditions really.  When I was younger would go out with friends but now DH and I (and sometimes another couple or two) just go to a nice dinner, come home, watch the ball drop, toast with champagne and head to bed!  Will be interesting to see if I can stay awake till midnight this year!

UPDATE:
At the midwife’s office, there is a head OB. The OB decided to deny my request for a VBAC today (saying I absolutely HAD to have a 3^rd c/s which is total bs), so I am transferring out to a different doctor who is the #1 recommended VBAC doctor in the state. What a total pain in the ass, and all I can do is hope for the best.

I can’t help but to feel angry. I have a right to a vaginal birth, damn it!

In happier news-- heard the baby's heart yesterday, and it was a healthy 140.

NYE- My DH and I go out to a fancy dinner. We get all dressed up, and spend a few hundred dollars, then feel guilty about spending said money (even though we save up for it). But...it's so much fun!

Hi everyone!! Hope you're feeling good and ready for the quickly approaching holidays!!

I haven't been on the computer much lately, so I think I missed last week's check-in! I've been doing all right, other than being tired, super sore (back/legs/sciatica/RLP) and a little crampy. I'm 27 weeks, just under 3 months to go - wait what?? :-O  I had my GD test on Wednesday and passed!! So happy & grateful with the results, but did find out I am anemic, which is strange b/c I take extra iron supplements daily... waiting to hear back from OB to see if I need to bump up the dosage again.

Now it's time for the mad dash to finish up getting the house ready for company (finish cleaning & decorating), getting out the holiday cards, wrapping and food shopping for the big day!

Oops, I forgot to answer the QOTW: DH & I are not big crowd people, so we usually just watch the NYE festivities on TV. Sometimes we're visiting family and we'll toast with them, but we don't have any specific traditions yet. Our anniversary is Jan. 2nd, so that's usually a bigger celebration for us.

19 weeks tomorrow and I am hungry, but otherwise my energy is nearly back to normal levels. 

Super happy to see all the new BFPs! This board means business! :-)

I enjoy New Year's parties with friends - home atmosphere is always better, although I've done the restaurants/bars too with mixed results.

DH isn't a big partier, but I hope we can start a New Year's dinner party tradition next year (way too much stuff going on this year to pull it off).

Otherwise, brunch and a walk, especially if it's a sunny, snowy day, on January 1 is always a great start to the year.
