Update from WTF appt

So, it was either just a fluke bad cycle or an egg quality issue. I started on DHEA, Vit D3, and CoQ10. We will start stims again after my Jan AF. Upping the doses and adding in ICSI and AH since this is our last shot. I've also started meditating and taking a huge break from technology and trying to actually enjoy the holidays, rather than run around like crazy trying to make them perfect. 

Oh, and I got a new job. So I'll be working PT from home starting in Jan and Alexa will be going to daycare 3 days a week. Big big changes for us. I was talking to DH the other night and we agreed that no matter what, 2015 will be a better year for our family. I've done so much thinking and over analyzing and know that what's meant to be is what will happy. Doesn't make it an easier pill to swallow if we end up being OADNBC but I realize I have to move on at some point. 

You all have been on my mind so much and I cannot ever thank you all enough for the support.

Having a plan really helps.  I hope this is just what your body needs for a successful next cycle.  GL with the new job and dc, and I really hope you are able to relax and enjoy the holidays greatly.

I have to say I love everything about this update, except that you are in this situation in the first place. This sounds like a fantastic plan though and it sounds like you have your bases covered.  The only other thing I may suggest is accupuncture. While I have never done this, I know there are a lot of other ladies who use it with an IVF cycle and have had great success.... I'll be rooting for you come January

I always felt better having a plan in place.....  Good for you for deciding to just enjoy the holidays and not run around like a crazy person!  Keeping everything crossed that 2015 is your year!

I agree with JBD about acupuncture.  I did it while cycling with DD and again this cycle.  Not sure if it helped, but it certainly helped with the anxiety.

Yay for a new and customized treatment plan! And, if you are open to acupuncture, I'd do it! Even if you don't do it during your cycle, I found it to be super relaxing when I did it for my successful transfer. In Rockville, they have a spa like setting and will do it before and after transfer. It's awesome and I had much less cramping coming out of that transfer, in part, because I just felt so mellow.

Thanks! I might look into the acupunture for more/post transfer ...we pay OOP for that too so I can't really do a lot those sessions but it would be nice to work it in if I can!

I just wanted to pipe up as a DHEA/coq10 girl....by both of my REs I have been told that DHEA is most effective if you're on it for at least 3 months before stimming. i don't want to stand in the way of a January cycle for you but if it is truly your last shot it may be worth asking your RE about this in the hopes of getting the best results possible.

Thanks kaf - I will be on it actually for over 2 months before stims start. I've been on it for a bit already - not ideal but because of timing with other things a late Jan/early Feb cycle (depending on AF) is what will be best for us

Oh great! I was worried you'd end up on it for about 3 weeks and I didn't want you to be wasting time or money. GL with the cycle.
