Thank you for answering. I know it's WAY early to tell if I'm pregnant or not that's why I've been wondering what could be happening... Or if there's anything wrong with my body. I've been having that af-is-coming feeling but she isn't supposed to be here til the 24th. I had some really light spotting today too.
I am the same - cramping and pain from 3dpo - 9 dpo. Every time it happens I have to keep the excitement at bay. It totally sucks, but for me (so far) it has just been my body doing it's thing and my mind playing tricks. Hopefully for you it means something different
Are you temping to confirm ovulation? If not, then you really don't know when you ovulated. Maybe you are ovulating now or maybe you ovulated early and now your period is coming soon.
It could be a corpus luteum cyst, which can form at ovulation. The corpus luteum pumps progesterone up until AF (or if there was implantation, it continues to pump until the placenta is ready to take over) and can form a cyst. It's most often painful only on one side and (unless it bursts) is not very severe pain. And it should go away when you get AF.
I've definitely experienced the corpus luteum cyst before, so thought I'd share!

Holy shit, this is unnecessarily fear monger-y. Let's not jump to crazy conclusions when it's probably PMS, okay?
Edit: Anyone know how common/likely these even are?

Personally, I don't find it fear monger-y, but it takes a lot for me to get worked up about something. Functional cysts in general are pretty common, usually resolve on their own with minimal discomfort, and pose no risk to pregnancy. I'd be surprised if my mild cramping at 3 DPO was related to PMS, but I suppose that's what it could be.
Other kinds of cysts, or complex cysts, are extremely painful and can cause a lot of issues, but @apunicorn wasn't referring to that kind.
Yeah, I'm talking ONLY about the corpus luteum cyst and not about any other ovarian cysts, some of which can definitely be terrible! As mentioned by several posters above, the corpus luteum kind is extremely common, almost always not dangerous, and for women who are not pregnant disappears when their cycle is over.
Don't worry guys it's not so bad!! Sorry to scare.
Mmm...methinks it's probs the egg leaving the tube or getting shuttled along the tube.
Observe, a little diagram.
ETA: If the egg isn't fertilized, I think it just disintegrates in the tube. I should probably add that the 20% pregnancy chance =/= fertilization chance. With good timing I think it's about 50% if I recall. I'm too lazy to look it up. About half of the fertilized eggs don't implant properly, and that's what lowers conception chances to around 20%.
