for moms who use probiotics, - which brand? - how often do you give it - what have you observed as benefits? - any side effects? - how long will you use for?
- we use Gerbers Soothe colic drops - 5 drops per night at his evening feed (around 7) - the doctor recommended it even though he doesn't have colic as a way to cut down on gas and other tummy troubles. Seems like it is helping. - no noticeable side effects - until we run out, so probably three more weeks
- which brand? Biogaia - how often do you give it: daily - what have you observed as benefits?: her tummy has calmed down a bunch! this could be from the biogaia or from her developing and growing (she was early). She had BAD gas and pooped near nonstop (not joking). Now she actually has diaper changes that are only wets!!! It's crazy sauce. - any side effects? none that we notice - how long will you use for? no current plans to stop...
Thanks ladies. I purchased Gerber Soothe drops today and gave LO her first dose this afternoon. Fingers crossed
In reviews online, I read its a thick liquid hard to get out of the bottle. But it wasn't thick at all and 5 drops came out in a second. Is that how it's supposed to be or did I not shake enough?

But we formula feed and breastfeed so we just switched her over to the gerber soothe formula which has the probiotics in it.
It has worked so well at cutting down on her tummy problems!
