Sinus crud

I saw my PCP Friday for my sinus crud - runny nose, pressure, drainage down throat- who prescribed a class C drug and benadryl. I called back and said I wasn't comfortable taking the class C drug and wondered if there was another option. My symptoms got worse over the weekend. I can barely speak and I am coughing all the time. The PCP nurse said he doesn't have any suggestions and I can ask a different doctor. My OB is out until tomorrow. I do the sinus rinse twice a day, use a humidifier and take benadryl. Any other advice until I can talk to the OB?

Tylenol Sinus is the only thing I've taken and I use saline spray when I think about it. It's tough.
