Any moms have an Amniocentisis

Im going for an Amniocentisis 3 weeks from today. Im nervous about it but I would like to know what is wrong with my son. If you had one how did you feel about getting it? Did you end up having a preemie baby? Is it painful? Was it hard to lay still while they did it?
