Maybe I'm being overly compulsive, but I am just wondering if it is OK to give DS a scrambled egg almost every morning. He is now 14 months and was eating only egg whites up until his 1st b'day, as was recommended by our pediatrician. After he turned one, we started giving him the whole egg. He loves it and eats one egg most mornings. It has been my understanding that at this young age, babies need a diet rich in cholesterol and fat for their brain development. I just want to be sure we aren't overdoing it with the morning egg.
Anyone think this is a problem for a 14 month old?

Nope, an egg a day should be fine. My son loves eggs too.
In fact, it's also fine for most adults as well. Eggs are very nutritious and studies have shown that their regular consumption does not significantly increase cholesterol.

DD is 20 months and would eat an egg every morning if I let her. Right now it's probably 5 out of 7 mornings she has an egg. Sometimes she also has some egg whites later in the day if I'm snacking on hard-boiled eggs. Pedi said it wasn't a problem. We also buy the organic free range ones.
DS eats an egg with cheese and fruit 5 to 6 days a week for breakfast; has since he was about 1. We have chickens so we go through a lot of eggs It's usually me who gets bored of them; you can always mix it up - egg + sausage, spinach, peppers, feta, etc.
