I loves reading all the updates! It's great seeing so many familiar faces in one place.
Today was my 7 week appointment. One tiny little bean flickering away. I can breathe a small sigh of relieve tonight. I've switched practices and saw the nurse practitioner today. Since my next appointment isn't until 11 weeks she told me to not hesitate to call and schedule a time to come in around 9 weeks just for an ultrasound. Said that for my own sanity she highly recommends it. So at the moment I am breathing easy but I may take her up on that offer after Christmas. Hope you ladies are all having a wonderful Holiday season!

Hey ladies! I'm happy to say we welcomed our baby girl Piper into the world on 11/18/14. They suspected IUGR as my fundal height was 5 weeks behind and the u/s showed borderline fluid levels. Well at 38 weeks they measured her at 6lbs 10oz so they decided to let her bake. They were a little off! At 39 weeks exactly, I went into labor and it all happened so fast! My water broke at the end end of my shift at the hospital and then contractions came every 2 minutes. I went home and took a bath and told my husband I felt like I needed to push and almost called 911! We rushed to the hospital and were there only 36 minutes when she was born! I still had my clothes on and thankfully they found a random OBGYB in the next room who they called over to help. Start to finish was just a few hours! Piper was a tiny 5lbs 14.8oz and 19in! I had her all natural (not planned) and loved my birth experience with the exception of pushing in the car they believe she did in fact have some growth restriction, but is perfectly healthy! I've never felt so blessed. My heart about explodes every time I look at her. Hope the pic works from mobile. Love seeing these updates!
@libby+nate, OMG on that arrival story! Piper is beautiful!
Hello everyone! Love reading all of these updates.
I am 35 weeks today with a baby boy. Slightly uncomfortable at this point, but enjoying the last few weeks of pregnancy. My loss anniversary was last month, and this time of year feels icky to me after losing my first LO and then my dad in January. Mostly, I'm excited to meet this new LO, but there are some definite mixed emotions there.
Have a great holiday season, ladies!

@sgio7485 thank you! So sorry you are having mixed emotions. Very understandable after what you went through last year. Can't believe you are so close to having your baby boy in your arms though!
@carlsonbaby2014 I hope to see an announcement from you very soon! Best of luck! Yay!
@E&B0811 - I EP because LO didn't have enough energy to get what he needed from nursing. So I recommend nursing all you can, it's so much easier (I was able to nurse for about 3 weeks before the weight issues started). If you can wait until good nursing is established and then pump some for a stash that is helpful, but EP (or even mostly pumping) is hard and extra work.
This! I EPed because DS would scream and scream instead of latch. I worked so hard pumping and missed out on so much time just holding and feeding DS. It was hard on DH too. I hated it at the time and regret it now.
Thanks for the insight ladies. I posted a similar question on PAL. If you have any extra insight or tips for me Id really appreciate it.

@tlc35 Yeah and being that close to the airbag always makes me nervous anyway! Luckily for me I am a Stay at home Wife, so really I don't have to go anywhere much and hubby has been grocery shopping for me since too much activity gives me braxton hicks... so I just wait for him to get home if I need to go somewhere... but I wanted to go to a cloth diapering store to look around but they are only open T-Th from 11am to 3pm.... so guess that won't happen....

I'm late to the party but I'm excited to read all of the updates! We welcomed our beautiful little boy right before thanksgiving via surrogate. I still can't believe this is actually real. Of course he's adorable and I'm loving every minute of my maternity leave. In other news, we went to Vienna in October with DH's work which was awesome. Now we are just getting ready for Christmas. I wish we'd get some snow. Its December in Wisconsin and it was too warm for a coat today while I did my shopping!

I love seeing all of these updates! AFM, I will be 22 weeks tomorrow and I am just finally wrapping my head around the fact that I need to actually start preparing for a baby! We've had a bit of a rocky ride with the discovery of a cystic hygroma during our NT scan, but our Panorma testing, A/S, and fetal echo have all looked good, so we're feeling very optimistic and hopeful. Big (((((HUGS))))) to anyone who needs them!
Hello all! Sorry I'm late to this party I'll be 35 weeks on Thursday! 5 weeks makes shit seem very real. I took off work from 12/29 - 1/4 which is when we will de-Christmas the house and get the house ready for the baby - washing little tiny clothes, packing hospital bags, installing car seats, etc...and then we wait until 01/22ish - hoping to get a lot of rest and relaxation in during that time.
M will be 16 months on the 30th! She is currently in physical therapy once a week for her gross motor delays. She's now hitting milestones at a pretty fast pace. Overall she is much happier now too. She still gets frustrated with her lack of abilities, but she seems to be channeling that frustration into action now. She is now getting into everything!
I had my annual check-up my cardiologist last month. My echo and lungs look good, with no residual damage from lasts year's events. Now I have to work on getting back in shape. I still get easily winded, so it is going to be slow going at first.

I am always way behind on these types of things but I got sucked into reading everyone's updates and then forgot to respond, so here goes my late update:
Both kiddos are doing very well. Older DS is a ball of energy, a big mama's boy, and just overall a great kid who I cannot believe is almost 4 years old. Little DS is almost 7 months old, cutting his first tooth, sitting on his own and wanting so bad to be big like his brother. Watching the two of them together is everything I had hoped for, they adore each other and I hope it stays that way.
I finally finished my CPA exams and actually passed them...although I ended up having to take the last exam when DS2 was 7 weeks old which really sucked and I felt like cut into my quality time with him while I was on leave. Anyway, that whole journey has sparked some things at my work and I am interviewing for 2 different senior level positions within my company on Friday.
Otherwise, DH and I are doing well and just focusing on Christmas stuff and family, and ready for some time off work. We all just had a stomach bug as well so we are definitely ready for everyone to be well again.
Hi lovelies! I love seeing all these faces and updates. I am 24 weeks and 4 days. Everything seems to be going well. I still have my moments and am having a hard time sticking to a name. I think if I get too attached to a name that I will jinx myself. H is in nesting mode and has been working on the house. After the holidays he will start on the baby's room. As far as the kegels, my workout videos alway focus on them so hopefully all will be good... Lol

Hi Ladies. I know I've been absent from the boards and this thread is a week old but I see so many familiar names on this thread I thought I would leave a quick note.
We are still TTCAL our second baby. January 24th will mark a year since we lost our pregnancy. It's hard to believe a year has nearly gone by. It's been a tough year but also I can see despite the struggles a lot of positive. Nevertheless, I am looking fwd to 2015.
I've taken a break from being on here so much so I can pay more attention to by beautiful daughter who fills me w/ so much joy. She'll be 3 in Feb and it seems just like yesterday that we brought her home. For all of you w/ newborn babes...enjoy every tiny second b/c it just goes by so quickly. She def has made me smile through the tears this year. And I find focusing my extra energy on her, and not my loss, is making me feel stronger and more optimistic for whatever the future holds.
I pray many blessings for you all in the coming new year. I send you all my love and best wishes!
