I guess I'm the only one up. I've been waiting for this since 6 am and trying not to be a PW. Anyhoo, I'm at work today. So far I've almost finished a survey and I have finished addressing baby shower invites. What are everyone else's plans for today?

I'm up and grading/lesson planning.  I did very little yesterday other than grocery shop, so I've got a lot to accomplish today.  This is the last week before winter break and as usual I have way too much planned and too little time to get it all done.  I'm also planning for my annual observation tomorrow, which still makes me nervous even after teaching for so many years.  I have the option to put it off until January, but I think I'm just going to do it to be done with it.  It has already been rescheduled twice.  

DD slept until 6:30, which is huge.  She had been getting up between 5:00-5:30 every day.  We told her she couldn't get out of bed until 6:00, and I think it is finally starting to click.

I used to work in a district that did not notify you in advance of your observation.  The administrator would just show up one day and sit down, like for a walk through, but it would be the formal, 45 minute observation.  At the time, I hated it, but now I think it was better.  It definitely gave a clearer picture of what the teacher was really like, and there wasn't the build up and pressure of knowing when it was going to happen.

Up for two hours. Baby slept great, toddler was up at 2:15 with a fever, demanding juice. Gave her juice and she kicked me out of her room. So far this morning she's just stuffy, but every time she comes over to me she feels warmer. She is currently on a refusing medicine kick. Any ideas how to get meds into a 2.5 year old who will make herself puke if you use force to just stick them down her throat? I'm pushing fluids.

During naptime, dh is staying with the kids while I go shoe shopping. So excited for some alone time and retail therapy.

I am up. We are home from our trip Reese cried yesterday when we had to leave. I can't wait to get all of our pictures!

I had to go to the grocery store before work. My eggs are in the car. It's cool outside so they will be ok.

I'm also trying to figure out what I can do for a coworker who was just diagnosed with breast cancer.  She hasn't really accepted it yet, and is in a little bit of denial about what is happening (which is completely understandable, of course.)  So far, all I have been able to do is let her talk about it and cry and try to let her vent.  I wish I could do more.

I'm awake but still in bed. DH and E are still sleeping. I need to get up because my mom's dropping off M and my niece any minute. I plan to put their little asses to work for upsetting my mom yesterday. She was excited to have them over to help decorate her house and they were total shits, whining and complaining about it. I'm so pissed. My mom does absolutely any and everything for them, and they couldn't pull their heads out of their asses long enough to put some fucking ornaments on a tree. So since they couldn't be bothered to do something fun for my mom, we'll see how they like doing chores instead.

On a happier note, my grandparents get here today! I'm so excited to see them. They don't know I'm pregnant yet because I've been waiting for them to come so I can surprise them.

DD is running a fever...not super high, just over 100.  It explains her hulk-like temper tantrum, though.  No other symptom but crankiness.

Up with 7 kids while MH snores from our bed. Whats wrong with this picture.

Going to my sisters around lunch to take everyone home, & then probably some grocery shopping on the way back. For now a whole lot of nothing but keeping the peace & feeding the beast!

Sorry to everyone with sick kids! That is so hard. We had it all last week. Everyone is still stuffy but at least they aren't feverish or completely miserable.

Last night poor decisions were made. It was the first time in about 5 months we have been 100% child free. GREAT time but now I am sitting at work praying for 2pm. I can hardly keep my eyes open. 

When I get off work we have a family get together/Christmas cookie baking thing to go to. I would much rather go home and nap but I think I will just end up with an early bedtime.

I wouldn't do them a week ahead, personally. Check your recipe. You may be able to store the dough refrigerated for a while.

My DD has been sitting at the table tearing paper and putting the little pieces in a box for about 45 minutes.  I am torn between being happy that she is entertained and concerned/curious about why she likes it so much.

Sorry to hear about all the sick kiddos. @brewcitygal sorry your babe had to go thru all that. I remember when DS was about a month old we had to go to the ER for what we thought was a 100.4 temp and they wanted to do the whole sepsis work up too. It ended up being that our thermometer was faulty (they observed hkm for like 4 hrs and he never showed a temp)...ugh. either way, scary shit.

Im trying to convince DH to take DS to the indoor playplace for a bit today so I can do some cleaning/nesting done and enjoy some peace and quiet.

DS is feeling fine and full of piss and vinegar this morning. I, on the other hand, have the flu and a migraine. Sent H out for Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Dark Chocolate, and anti-diarrhea pills. I'm sure the chocolate and soda will further upset my stomach, but I just want the migrane to go away first.
