I used NB GMD prefolds but sadly baby is growing out of them (absorbency wise). GMD mediums are an obvious next move but are there other options you all like that are less expensive or maybe better than the GMD ones?
Anyone try the econobum diaper with prefold trial? Looked like a good deal but probably too good to be a real useful diaper?
TIA!
Re: Advice on prefolds?
I know there are a few other good brands but I'll let people who have direct experience with them tell you about them.
Thanks all!
If so, I was hoping to skip small. She is already 12 lbs and I would hate to invest in a size that won't last long. Is it conceivable that I use my NB to get me to med?

We moved to red edge around 12-13 lbs. mostly due to DS outgrowing the rise. They were a bit bulky at first but if you don't mind that you probably could go straight to the GMD mediums at this point. The yellows would be a good length for trifolding and laying in a cover, or for stuffing pockets for a while, so if that is something you want to do, they are worth having for that.
That said, GMD have excellent resale, I'm sure I won't have trouble reselling my Sweet Pea ones, but again, you would have no trouble unloading GMD prefolds so the extra cost isn't really an issue because of that fact.
I also use flats and love them!

I knew she wouldn't be in them long and I didn't plan to resell them since we'll use them for doublers or rags. They've held up really well so far. The width is the same as the GMD Newborn but they are 3 inches longer; we just folded them down in the back to start. Now at nearly 7 weeks and almost 12 pounds she's outgrowing the width. We can still Snappi them but they're tight.
