Why is this little guy so hard to burp at night?

Does anyone else go through this at night? He has burps stuck and can't lay down, he fusses and squirms, but I cannot get the darn burps out. Round and round I go, every night. This guys digestion is nothing like my DD!

I don't have trouble at night, but if I do have trouble burping him I sit him up in my lap and put one hand on his chest to hold him upright. I burp him that way and it seems to get the problem burps out.

I was literally just thinking about asking the same question!! I've been noticing this too. My boy squirms so much and cries and I was thinking maybe the swaddle wasn't helping but it didn't seem to make a difference. If he falls asleep the gas wakes him up but it doesn't seem to during the day. It can take like 1.5hrs to get him down at night...
