DS is more a movie guy. He likes Frozen and the jungle book. He has been playing with his sissy's Peppa toys a lot lately, so I think he likes her more than I realize. We watch Chugginton a lot, because I assume he should like it because he likes trains.
What characters are your kids into?
Mine is obsessed with Thomas
Likes Bubble Guppies until the sing
LOVES Peppa Pig lmao
Um, my kid is WEIRD. He could care less about Spiderman, Batman, or Superman, but **LOVES** the mechanic in car commercials. He points at the TV screen and says, "Dada, Dada!"
And his favorite songs are The Chicken Dance and the Peanut Butter Jelly Time thing from Family Guy.
Right now we are obsessed with An Elf's Story. It's a 20 minute movie that came with ou elf on the shelf. It's cute, but we have watched it a million times in the last 2 weeks.
M likes to WATCH Peppa Pig and the Bubble Guppies. Her favorite characters seem to be Peppa Elmo, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh, but she doesn't like to watch the Mickey show that much and we don't have any Pooh shows. She doesn't really get into watching Curious George, but she does like to read about him. She likes to watch Super Why and Peg+Cat, but they aren't really on when we watch. She does not like Sophia the First, Calliou, or Jake.
I prefer the Bubble Guppies. We have watched too much Peppa. I am glad she does not like Caillou--too whiny. I also find Daniel Tiger to be whiny, but my DH thinks that is intolerant.
Sarah knows who Minnie Mouse is but....am I the only one that has a kid who will not watch TV? My boys will and do but DD is just like 30 sec and then meh...no matter what it is.

Same here. The most DD ever sat for a movie or TV show was today when my dad turned on Shrek in their new theater room (they installed a screen, projector, and sound system in their family room). It's really cool and I think it only kept her attention because it was so big and different. She probably sat for about 5-10 minutes without getting up. At home, she will only sit and watch TV for a couple minutes and then she's up again. She seems to like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse- she knows who Minnie is and quacks at Donald and Daisy Duck

DD is in love with all Frozen. Everything Frozen. I sometimes turn on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but that doesn't keep her attention very long. Depending on her mood sometimes she will want to just sit with me but it usually doesn't involve any cartoons. She had build a bear Olaf and Elsa.
Any and all Muppet characters, duh. She knows all the Muppets, Fraggles and Sesame Street characters by name. She also recognizes Jim Henson and knows his name, and can tell the difference between Jim Henson's Kermit singing Rainbow Connection and Steve Whitmire's Kermit singing it. I'm a proud mama. ;-)
She's also pretty into Doc McStuffins, and she loves Batman, which makes her daddy proud!
Dora - although we never watch anything at Dora at home. She must have learned about it at daycare. But she has stickers and a hand me down shirt lol. Also Frozen, bc we watch the music videos on youtube.
E watched Planes Fire and Rescue today. That's the only thing he had actually watched. Otherwise he just watched commercials. I think it's because they are the length of his attention span, lol!
Dora and Diego. There are definitely more annoying shows for them to like, so I'm ok with it, and DD1 spontaneously started singing her ABCs (almost correctly) even though I hadn't been practicing it with her at all. The only place she ever heard the English ABC song was Dora and one of her musical toys that doesn't sing clearly so you can't really understand. Yep, Dora the Explorer taught my kid how to sing the ABCs. Oh well.

Pooh and Tigger are our bros over here. The old Pooh movie is a favorite. He loves his trains and has lots of Thomas characters but is not at all interested in the movies. (We don't have cable...we just watch Netflix and stream from our Roku).
Speaking of all of you whose kids won't watch TV- be glad. Since we don't have cable, we never have the TV on just as background noise. It's not really possible. We also didn't allow screen time until 18 months. Because of that, TV has become like the forbidden fruit for DS. If it's on he is mesmerized. I really think it's because we've never had it on otherwise. Totally need to find a way to do something different for DS2 and learn from our mistakes!

she also likes Mickey, Jake and Sophia. She LOVES music, so anything with singing normally she likes
