Getting baby to stay asleep!

My daughter is 7 months old. We put her to bed around 830 every night. She always puts herself to sleep just fine but then she always wakes up a couple hours later and will never go back to bed unless she is in our bed. . I think she may have separation anxiety. I think this is why she needs to be right beside me. I have tried having her in the playpen next to me but that didn't work. I need so suggestions on how to get her to stay asleep and in her own bed.
