Recommend Your Bottles

We use the Joovy Boob bottles, which LO likes just fine.
Now that he drinks 8oz at a time, however, it's hard to make the bottles because they only go up to 9oz.
So by the time I add 8oz of water, and 4 scoops, there's no way to get a good shake.

Ideas?
TIA :)

Re: Recommend Your Bottles

  • With my first, I liked Dr Brown's bottles best, and I loved the Dr Brown pitcher. It was easier for me to mix up a full day's supply and fill the bottles from that than to mix them individually. If you want to use the bottles you have now, the pitcher might be worth a look.

  • I'm lazy and like playtex drop ins. Not the best for the environment I'm sure but super convenient

  • Platex Aire Vent for us.

Super cheap, easy to replace the nipples, and not a lot of parts.

Mix the formula in a measuring cup first then pour it in the bottle.

  • I also vote for mixing in a different container. With N, I would mix a day's worth of bottles the night before. He had awful gas and reflux, and I felt like doing it ahead of time helped some of the bubbles rise to the surface so it didn't bother his tummy as much.

  • When ds2 was still on bottles/nursing I would make up his 5 3-ounce bottles (yes up to 12 months he was only drinking 3 ounces at a time - anything more he'd spit/vomit back up) at night before I went to bed. I first did the bottles of pumped milk and then made the remaining ounces of formula and filled those bottles. Having the formula premade and in bottles was handy - just grab and feed.
