    I love Delilah but it is off the table. Great family friend has this name and the association is way too strong.

    Just a warning, you may need to correct people's pronunciations.  My english teacher nun pronounced her name Deal-ya.

    I like the name though.

    Bad(ish) association. My mom almost adopted a toddler with that name when I was 12. Without getting into it to heavily it was a tough situation that didn't work out in anyone's favor.

    Maybe it is because I was born in the 90's but I don't recall this at all.

    That is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the thread title. 

    My SIL's god daughter is named Delia. It's NMS but I think it's a pretty name.

    Hysteroscopy/Lap--8/4/14 - Tubes unblocked. Polyps removed from uterine wall. Septum removed.
     9/30/14--Off the bench! Unmedicated TI through December 2014
    BFP 12/14/14!!! Beta #1, 12/16: 990 Beta #2, 12/18: Over 2000! Beta #3, 12/22: over 8000!
     U/S #1, 12/23: gestational sac, possible heartbeat
    U/S #2, 12/30: HEARTBEAT! 128bpm, measuring right on at 7w EDD: 8/19/2015
    U/S #3, 1/9: BPM in the 180s, IT'S HAPPENING!!!

    I was at the ZOO once and overheard this hick lady screaming after her toddler: "Dell-eeee-yah!" It totally wrecked the name for me. Maybe as a nn to Adeline.
