Boy name Lincoln?

I have lurked around quite a bit and have seen no opinions on the name Lincoln. I am pregnant with my second but not due until June. I don't know if it will be a boy or girl so this is more just to think about. What is the consensus on Lincoln. I was thinking Lincoln James (my husbands first name is James but he does not go by James). He also mentioned Lincoln Brooks but I'm not sure if I like that as much. If not any thoughts on similar names?

My daughters name is Kaylen Grace, I know it is not a name that many on here seem to like. It does have family meaning for us. Also, if anyone has any thoughts on girl names I would appreciate it. I am terrible with girl names. If this is a girl it is going to be rough to choose.

I run a daycare so I associate a lot of names with the children we have had here so that can make it a little tough at times as well.

I really like Lincoln! For the middle names you suggested I prefer James.

I think Lincoln is fine. I don't love it, but I do like the idea of the NN Linc/ Link.

DS is Lincoln. It gets mixed feedback on here, but we used it in honor of the president - it's the only name so far out of our kids' FNs and MNs that is not a family name, but it has meaning to us. I like Lincoln James.

Lincoln isn't a terrible name for a boy, but it has been pretty trendy for girls. Which is crazy. I think it's best with James

I don't love Lincoln but I think it's fine. It sounds good with James. I know one Lincoln and it's a 2 yo boy.

I really like Lincoln! Lincoln James is a great choice. Girl options that might fit your style: Lyla, Carly, Haley, Sadie.

I like Lincoln as a first name. For a boy. It's also the exception to "presidential last names as first names" for me.

My good friend had a little boy this summer and his name is Lincoln James. Funny because I was calling him L.J. before they ever picked a name

Anyway I think its cute, but seems to be getting more and more popular. At least in my circle.

It's not my style and seems a bit trendy, but I don't think that it's a bad choice. I love the flow of Lincoln James. Sounds very strong! Lincoln Brooks sounds corny to me somehow.

Thank you for all the feedback! I agree with Lincoln James sounding better. I have never met a Lincoln in real life so we'll see if it booms around here. I hope not if we decide to use it. Using it for a girl is just ridiculous in my opinion!

Thank you to those of you that gave some girl name suggestions. I really don't care if we have a boy or a girl other than that I really don't like picking girl names and I don't want to have to pick one!

It's my H's fave name right now. I think if we didn't have a Harrison, I'd probably use it. I just can't get on board with using another surnamey name for my next son.

Lincoln is absolutely someone I admire. I don't think I'd use it if I didn't feel that way.
