I'm currently in the Handicapped stall in an airport in Texas pumping. It's very glamorous. What are some of the most random places you've had to pump?
In a corridor outside the bathrooms (supposedly a "family area") at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. I was in the city for a day with some girl friends who helped make a human shield. It sucked having to carry the pump around, but I also felt kind of empowered, if that makes sense.

I regularly pump while driving to and from work... But I guess most random would be while getting my hair and make up done for a wedding. All the other bridesmaids were early 20s and no kids/ husbands. I felt super (un)glamorous, and prob scarred them for life.

In my office, but one of my employees came in to ask questions. We're friends, so I didn't mind, but it was a little odd talking to her with the pump on.
I only ever pumped at work (retail). But there were a few days all the offices were in use and I had to pump in the fitting room. It was awkward hearing people just chatting away in the stalls around me. And little kids asking their moms "what's that noise?"
In the hairdressers chair using my hand pump. Best hairdresser (a guy) ever! Also while driving locally, although I don't recommend it bc it's very distracting.
I pumped in the car while tailgating before every local football game this season. Twice was in dh's uncle's car with tinted windows, but the other times were in my car without tinted windows.
Lol, great post! I've pumped all over, in my car all the time. I've pumped in the bathroom at the airport and sixflags. Outside at sixflags (with a cover). It's so noisy there, no one noticed. The most awkward I'd have to say was while eating at an airport restaurant (with a cover). My friend blocked the view with our bags and herself. You gotta do what you gotta do.
I pump while driving home from work all the time (I know, I know bad habit but it's never when LO is with me). My husband hates that I do that. Other than that, I've done it in a few bathrooms, a shower and in a storage closet.

Hey, I think I know where you're talking about. I had to pump at the Met too, and I went to the lower level (school group area?) and also checked out the family area library, and just ended up pumping there, in the open...
I hate pumping so much, though, that I'll go 6 - 7 hours without pumping, if I can.

I'm a pharmacist, and we're constantly busy. I just take pump breaks in the corner, and the techs will always come ask me questions while I'm pumping. I'd like some peace and privacy, but it would be harder for me to make time to pump so often if I wasn't so available, ya know? I just don't like for anyone to linger. Ask your question and move along.
