Hoping that the Fact this thread hasn't been made yet means you beautiful ladies are getting some rest! I'm up pumping, little one is actually sleeping great only up to eat and right back to sleep. EP is starting to get to me.
My poor LO got up an hour ago to eat. She is now struggling hard to poop and is so uncomfortable. She also spits up after almost every night feeding, even if I hold her upright for 15-20 minutes afterwards.
Does this sound like reflux? She doesn't have any other symptoms (arching her back, crying while eating, etc).
My random today is... Based on the declining number of posts before 6am on he randoms thread, I am going to take it as a sign a turning point in sleep is coming. Thoughts??
For you ladies who have LOs sleeping longer than 3 hrs at a time are you BF or FF? My LO won't sleep for more than a couple hrs. EBFing and I wonder if my milk isn't giving him enough fat/calories to encourage longer sleep.

I have a LO sleeping more than 3 hours at a time and I'm EBF. Honestly I think I just have a good sleeper. Also I swaddle him up real good
I have read that FF babies do sleep longer/through the night sooner though.
Good morning ladies. I was so encouraged to see only 15 posts when I logged on at nearly 6am! That means y'all are either getting sleep or your so sleep deprived you can't even get on TB! I hope it's the first one!
Does anyone else's LO have "witching" hours?? My LO is the easiest baby 22 hours a day, but as soon as 6pm rolls around it's like she flips the switch! What are y'all doing to get baby calmed down? I feel like I cluster feed from 5-9 everyday but she's still crabby/crying-sometimes even when on the boob.

During her most miserable times we try to remember to wear her and she passes out. It's especially effective if I do dishes or something while she is in there. ???
Unfortunately neither me nor my husband feel like suiting up in the Ergo and doing work in the kitchen at midnight... So we stupidly use less effective methods then. Ie, shushing , bouncing, patting. Takes over an hour. We are dumb ! Lol. We should just wear her and chop some veggies or something.
Today is really the first time I'll be challenged as a mom of 2. Ds1 woke up with a fever so no daycare for him. I wouldn't be too anxious except my 6w pp appointment is today. I'm Nervous to get them all together and out the door to the doctor on time and keep them occupied during my exam. Any tips moms of 2+?
Yes, we finally slept a little better last night! Still had a witching hour, but one hour was much more tolerable than six or so. Now if we can just move it a little earlier than 2:00... always something.
Hope everything is alright @KUinCBUS or at least becomes so quickly. I didn't even know pre-e could be an issue after delivery until I read the pamphlet in my discharge folder... scary!
I just stopped antibiotic number 3 on Tuesday due to mastitis (for the third time although personally I don't think I ever got rid of it) and I woke up at 330am with horrible breast pain, headache and chills. High fever.
I'm calling the dr as soon as they open and WILL see someone. 4th "time" in 5 weeks!!!! I CANT keep doing this. Thank God my DH got home last night.
Seriously any good vibes/thoughts/prayers welcome. I cried all night. I don't want to quit breast feeding but I can't do this every week either.
Sending good vibes, hoping they find a solution for you. Hoping you feel better and not have to be in continuous pain.

Surprise BFP 3: Feb 2014, Healthy Baby Boy Due October 27th 2014. OB thinks this is it!
There was a crazy storm here yesterday, thousands without power and my side of town seems to be the lucky ones. It is supposed to continue today. DH luckily has the next few days off so we will be hibernating. Lucky for me, we live right next door to a grocery store. I was supposed to go shopping yesterday because I am running out of bland foods that I can eat.

@OLJ1010 LO is 5 weeks today. I'm pooped but another idea just popped into my head, maybe some of our LOs wake up more due to wet diapers. LO absolutely hates being wet or poopy! He woke up a bit ago crying so I changed him and went to nurse but he fell asleep and wanted nothing to do with the boob!
I'm so frustrated right now. DH has had a bad stomach flu and can't keep anything down. We are really worried about dehydration and his body temp is really low. He woke me up at 7:30 to call the dr since that's when they open. Every time I call it says they are closed and that they open at 7:30. I have called 6 times and keep getting that message.
LO ate 6 oz. of formula for his last 3 feedings....I have been giving him 4, but yesterday evening and both MOTN feedings, he wanted more....what a little piggy!!! He went to sleep around 9:30, back up at 1 & 6. He is still sleeping now at 9:15!!! The neighbors are having USA insulation put in so the drilling woke me up instead of baby. Go figure. He sleeps and there is something else that wakes me. Whatever....it's kinda nice to get up and pee and have cereal before feeding baby!
I got a humidifier for his room...and I can't say if it's related or not....but it seems like he has been sleeping better since I got it.

@so72409 Yes!! 5pm to 7pm are without fail the daily witching hours for my girls. It's freaking awful, and usually leads to me being in tears lol. Did your twins go through that too? I've missed you BTW and hope all is well!
@BridgetThoams I'm thinking it's luck. I EFF my girls, and they both (finally) just started sleeping 3 hour stretches. Still not consistently though, and they're almost 6 weeks. Hang in there!
You guys, I got 3.5 hours of consecutive sleep last night! I feel like a new woman. Also, the sleeping baby on my chest is making piggy sounds.
Can anyone recommend their humidifier? Our old one broke, and I need to grab a replacement soon. DS seems a little congested.
This is the one I just bought from target. It was $30 and it came in blue and pink. It was with the baby stuff. I have only had it for 3-4 days now but I like it. Hopefully this link works.....I am mobile.
Finally got the call through now just waiting at the dr office. I woke up SIL and told her we were leaving. I asked if she could move to the couch since the boys were asleep in the living room. I hope she woke up enough to realize what I said and if she didn't move that she at least wakes up if they start crying. It was a late night for everyone.

I wish. I was too tired to bump last night but wasn't sleeping. LO was up every 2hrs eating I also washed our bedding last night which made our bed feel AMAZING but very difficult to get out of every.two.hours.

We have been using Dr. Browns bottles, mostly 2 oz and a couple of 4 oz bottles.
We have noticed that the 4 oz bottles can leak. We try to tighten the collar, make sure that the beige valve meets snugly to the blue tube, make sure we're not exceeding the "do not fill above" line, and make sure the angle of the blue tube face up. All tips we've read on the reviews for this product line.
Does anyone else have this problem or tips? It's frustrating to leak precious milk.
DD had been in a great routine and then yesterday it all fell apart. Last night was hell. She was up every 20 from 2-3:40. DH took her at 3:45-5 and sat on the couch awake while she slept on his arms. Anytime you tried to put her down she would wake up and cry. I wish I knew why it took until 3am to even be willing to eat. Finally at 5 she would sleep not in some one's arm. This is the first time we've experienced this. I have a whole new appreciation for you ladies who experience this regularly. Today we are closer to our routine and hopefully we will sleep tonight like normal.
My random (from watching tv all day everyday): I hate the target marshmallow song. So much. But I love shopping at Target to much to boycott them. They win.
We have 2 of these now. Bought the first one a couple years ago, recently bought a second one because we liked it so much (and with 2 kiddos, we might need both at the same time).

I've taken my two out alone multiple times to doctor appointments. I bring little snacks and toys for my older child to play with. I also make it a big deal that he is my special helper while at the doctor and he likes that.
@Wolkie we leave DD's humidifier on all night. Ours has a tank large enough to rune for 24 hours but we only do it over night when she sounds congested. We have this one, I liked it because the Elephant look reminds me of Horton and DD's room is Dr. Seuss themed.
How in the world am I supposed to put Jackson down? He is simply too adorable. Plus, I feel horribly guilty because he is having another super stuffy day. He had one I think about three days ago but it seemed to clear up. Now he is back to super stuffy and I hate not bring able to immediately fix it. Definitely been running the humidifier at night, squirting BM up his nose and using the nosefrida, which all seem to help. But it breaks my heart when it's clearly hard for him to breathe and eat.
Also, in a world of horrible timing DH had part 1 of two dental procedures to get an implant place yesterday. He wasn't feeling great and is home today so now I gave two to take care of...
@MrsC430--Awww, thanks, I miss y'all too!! I have all 3 kiddos sleeping at once (believe it or not, this doesn't happen often....it seems like if baby is asleep, big girls are up & vise versa). Yes, I'm pretty sure our twins had the witching hour as well, but to be honest, I can't remember what we did to get through it. I do remember several times when DH came home to all 3 of us in tears. Avery loved the swing, so she spent a lot of time in there, but Mady didn't...I don't remember what I did to get her to stop. Other than the hours of 5-7, how are things going for you?! Are you guys settled into a routine of some sort?
