T&P please.. First appointment today, didn't hear heartbeat. UPDATE: Loss mentioned

This is my first post on here, I was trying to wait until I went to the dr and knew a real due date instead of what I thought it was. This morning I had my first appointment and she guessed I was about 10 weeks and a few days due July 7th. Then we couldn't find a heart beat. Of course she says I might be a little earlier than we thought and not to freak out.. But I'm definitely freaking a bit. This is my 2nd child and I had heard the heart beat around this time last pregnancy. Please say a little prayer that everything is ok with my sweet baby. Thank you!
Ultrasound is Monday, btw, so I will post an update!

Here is my update as promised: Went in yesterday and they confirmed that I had miscarried. I'm still in horrible shock. I have had no signs of miscarriage.. No bleeding, no cramping, absolutely nothing. In fact I've had the opposite.. Still large and sore breast, sick feeling over certain smells. All of my normal things. I'm hanging on to some kind of stupid hope that the doctors just didn't know what they were doing. The ultrasound tech knew nothing about me, didn't even know I was pregnant until I said so. I feel like I'm being pranked in some kind of horrible joke and I cannot stop crying. This is so hard for me and my family, so I just ask that you all please say a prayer for us to find peace about this. Any advice would be wonderfully appreciated!

:-(  Don't freak, even though I know that's hard.  Depending on the position of the baby you might not be able to hear it on a doppler... that happened to us!

Were they listening for a heartbeat with a doppler? I had my first OB appointment yesterday at 10 weeks (according to my LMP), but my OB didn't even try to listen for it with the doppler because I was only 9w3d according to my dating ultrasound. FX that you just ovulated a little late and that you will see a heartbeat at your ultrasound on Monday!

@amc2511‌ yes with a Doppler. Once she felt around she said that I might feel about 9 weeks and a few days. There were just to many "nights" and "maybes" mentioned for me to feel totally comfortable.

When I was 11 weeks pregnant, my doc couldn't find baby's heartbeat with the doppler. It was so stressful waiting for an ultrasound, but then the next day at the ultrasound, the tech found baby right away. She was wiggling and dancing around so much that the tech said even she struggled to find the HB. Everything turned out fine but it was so stressful. I hope yours has a happy ending too and I am sorry you are under this stress now.

Same thing happened to me last time around. Baby's heartbeat is a little tricky to find before 12 weeks. (my OB even took a long while to find it this time)

My doctor won't even try to find the HB with a doppler until 12 weeks. My SIL's midwife couldn't find hers at her 12 week appt, but all was fine!

I know it's easier said than done, but don't fret. It's insanely common for this to happen. (Hugs)

Thoughts and prayers! Im in the same situation. My 1st ultrasound went well and we saw the baby and heard the heartbeat. This past Monday the doctor tried to find the heartbeat with the doppler and heard nothing. It was so discouraging and scary. I asked if I should be worried but she said not to worry, because I have a tilted uterus and was measuring a week earlier than they showed  this makes it really hard to hear the heartbeat (im 10 weeks today).

Yes, what a lot of others have said - mine doesn't try with the doppler before 12 weeks because of this.  Try not to worry!  Thinking of you and baby for a nice, strong heartbeat on Monday!

Try not to worry to much (easier said than done, I know) but I am 10 weeks 3 days and just went in yesterday to hear the hearbeat. My doc couldnt find it either. Had an ultrasound done and babys heartbeat was at 173. It was beautiful. Good luck to you!

FX for a good US on Monday. Like others have said it might just be too early and it can be difficult to find. Try and relax a little.

fx it's just too early to hear the hb!  My ob won't do it until 2nd trimester, I believe for this exact reason.  Keep us updated!

My last pregnancy, they couldn't find a HB via doppler at 10 wk 5 days. They said it's just too early for some to hear it at that stage. Your dates may also be off. Honestly, I don't even know why they would even try this since it is unlikely to work and will end up freaking you out! 

T&P with you and your LO. Try not to stress as there could be a lot of factors at play here.
