I am new to this board... I recently joined the TTC after 35 board but after my most recent test results I belong here. I am 37 DH is also 37. We are TTC#1 on 6th cycle. Husbands sperm is ok but I have low/bad eggs, I guess. The doc I am seeing currently is an OB not a specialist but he had me do an Ovarian Assessment Report (OAR) and here are the results. Anyone else familiar with this type of test? Or have input? He said that he'd like to start me on Femara and then proceed down the line to IUI, then trigger shots with IUI, and then IVF. I am so very sad about this test result and and feeling like my body has betrayed me. I know I am on the new end of dealing with this but I hope I can give/receive support through my/and your process.

I'm very sorry you find yourself here, but welcome.  I second what PPs have said - definitely get yourself to an RE.  There are other tests you should have, if you haven't already, including the HSG and SA for your husband before deciding on any treatment plan.

Sorry that you find yourself here. I agree with PP you should definitely move to a RE rather than an OB. I have never seen the test that you added but your AMH is low and some other values that were listed seem off, but I am not an expert by any means, but I also do have low AMH. I think that if I were in your shoes I would take those reports and schedule a RE consult. I know it is overwhelming to think that your body is not doing what it is supposed to, we all understand that.  It is hard to deal with the results of tests but moving to a RE will give you the best chances. @Rainbowbridge14, @SND1231, and  @shafwilson,   I have had an HSG and everything was open. Husband had a SA and the numbers looked ok... Thank you @nariadreaming for your suggestion - I am googling RE's now

Congrats on a clear HSG and a good SA!

TIme for an RE! I would not want to put that off and then find out the OB had missed something or wasted cycles with an AMA patient.

Welcome and I am sorry you have to be here. I am going to echo what the other ladies are saying, do NOT go see an OB for fertility related things. Especially for treatment.

Welcome! You've gotten a lot of good advice here. I went straight to an RE, I also have low AMH but also high FSH... good luck to you!

I agree with the RE route, especially if you have a choice! Lol I'm new on the boards as well and with the info i have been given in the very short time I've been here, i feel like things wouldn't have been moving along the way they are if it wasn't for me being here. These ladies definitely know their stuff! Seeing an OB would probably make your process longer than it would with an RE. And with IF the last thing we want to do is wait for something we have wanted for so long. Good luck and i hope your wont have to be here long! :-)
