NWMR: Has anyone bought used electronics from Amazon? Experience?

Hi All-

My 15 yo SD wants a film camera for Christmas. I have been looking online and they are insanely expensive brand new. That being said, I have found several on Amazon that are used and in our price range (about 100.00) Has anyone ever bought a used camera/electronics from Amazon? Was it a good experience? Or if anyone has any suggestions on where I can get a good deal on a film camera, please let me know TIA!

I have to say, I wouldn't personally... maybe call some local camera shops for advice?
