Stay at Home Moms

I've made a huge (delicious) mistake.

Dh is out of town for work for the week. C and I made sugar cookies last night. 4 dozen to be exact. When DH is around, they would be gone within the next 24 hours. He has quite the sweet tooth and usually eats about 90% of any dessert I make. I'm fine with this because I'm not as crazy about baked goods and if he eats most of them, that means I don't have a chance to.
Guess who can't keep her hand out of the cookie jar today? Girlfriend is going to have one heck of a tummy ache and a bit of an extra wiggle in her waddle by the end of the night.

Anyone else make any regrettable decisions lately?

  • I keep putting off making cookies till Christmas then I can send the family home with them. I have a hug sweet tooth.
  • I honestly don't even like sweets that much. When he's not around they usually go to waste. I'm more of an eat-an-entire-bag-of-chips-in-one-sitting kind of girl. Apparently, when DH left, he left his appetite here for me to look after. I've actually been flirting with the idea of making myself a cheese ball and eating it before hegets back so I don't have to share.

  • I've eaten all of our daughter's leftover birthday cake myself. I'm pretty sure I've gained five pounds instantly.

  • Is it just me or have you ever noticed that you can try something that someone else has baked and it can be the most amazing thing that you have ever put in your mouth, but when you bake it, it's just ok, not as amazing.

It's the total opposite for me, haha! I (unfortunately) love my own baking and usually find others' not quite as good.
  • OP, is this title an Arrested Development reference?
