Uncooperative baby (sex)

So I hate to ask a question like this, but it's driving me crazy.

I have had an ultrasound done at 16 weeks and 17 weeks. Both times my silly little baby has his/her legs crossed or feet tucked in. We can get a clear shot inbetween the legs and don't see a penis at all; however, we haven't seen 3 lines either to be able to definitely say it's a girl. The tech said she's 85% sure it's a girl.

Has anyone been the in situation where they don't see a penis but don't see the 3 lines either? And what was the outcome?

My step-sister went through this (just one ultrasound though).  Ended up finding out only at delivery and she had a boy.

This happened to my cousin. They could never get a clear view until the week before delivery when she found out it was a girl. It happens sometimes, they just aren't in position to see. Without seeing 3 lines or a penis I wouldn't but anything pink just yet. There is still really a 50% chance.

My anatomy scan is Jan 5th, that was the earliest we could get it unfortunately. I'm just being impatient and wanted to find out before Christmas. I'm a nurse and luckily can get ultrasounds at my hospital for free so it's just been tempting to try to find out what I'm having. If they never can get a clear shot, then I guess I'll be surprised!

My step sister had this happen. But doctor told her it was a boy. She bought everything washed it and prepared it. Gave birth and it was a girl.

With my DD I had over 20 US and at only one of them for a split second did she open her legs and the tech said girl...DH was convinced a boy was coming because they could never reconfirm. GL!

Babies can be stubborn. Your AS will be a longer ultrasound, which should give them plenty of time to catch a glimpse. Less than a month is not a very long time to wait!

I am hoping for this since I want to be team green and DH wants to find out and this was our compromise.  My sister didn't want to know either but at her AS they said good she didn't want to know because my neice was not giving it up.

This happened at my last ultrasound. Basically u/s tech said well, I don't see a penis but also don't see definite 3 lines either so he said girl and that he would be shocked if it ended up boy. We will see next week at anatomy scan!

It happened with my DD. Legs crossed at the A/S too. I had another u/s at 25 wks due to complications, then found out it was a girl.
