First day with nanny...

LO's new nanny is here for a kind of trial run...I'm sobbing and they are in the next room - how am I going to work with him here??? (I work from home) I feel so pathetic! He is going to daycare two days a week so not sure how I'm gonna handle that!

As a former many, best thing you can do is tell the nanny you are having a hard time. ..ease yourself into it by taking some play breaks!

Thanks, I will do that - poor thing wouldn't fall asleep for her then he passed out in my arms the second I took him we are doing a couple half days so he can get used to her before I actually start work.

@wieb67‌ I'm in a similar boat - I am relieved to have help but hate hearing LO cry with the nanny in the next room!! I think he's doing a bit better but he definitely doesn't get his naps in and I'm trying to give the nanny space to find what works for her without interfering. But I never know when to recommend something or just go calm him to sleep for everyone's sanity.

Yep I think it was partially my fault cuz he didn't get a good nap in the morning and was overtired. He's also used to me and his grandma wearing him all the time - the nanny is bigger than us so she can't wear one of our carriers unfortunately...maybe she could buy one and i could reimburse her...

Hopefully both of our LOs will get used to their nannies soon!
