DW and I are currently experiencing our first loss.  We were beyond excited to receive our very first BFP on 11/30, but by 12/5 realized it was a chemical pregnancy.  Even though we understand how common CP's are, it doesn't change how caught off guard we were and as many times as we have been told "it was barely anything" or "don't worry, there probably wasn't even a heart beat" we are finding it hard to just move on from.  Our doctor has told us we can resume AI since my everything seems to be normal and that is our plan.  I think no matter how small the loss may be, people who haven't experienced it do not understand that any loss is a loss worth grieving.  I have been a participant of the TTGP and LGBT boards for several months now and look forward to getting to know and interact on this board as well.  Best of luck to all.

    I am so sorry for your loss but welcome *hug*

    I have also heard similar things to that and it pisses me off to no end! 
    I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I experienced my first MMC in September and I have had plenty of people tell me that it's not such a big deal or that I shouldn't be so upset, but they don't understand how hard a loss is, even if it's an early one. I hope you find comfort and support on this board.

    Welcome to the board! I'm very sorry for your loss.  My loss was also a chemical pregnancy.  The feelings of attachment through the pregnancy and grief through the loss were just as real.  ((hugs))

    I'm sorry for your loss. I only knew I was pregnant for 9 days but it was still devastating. Losing that future that you're already imagining is so hard. ((Hugs))

    I'm very sorry for your loss. It sucks when people try to minimalize your pain just because it was an early loss. Doesn't matter how early it is, the minute you find out you're pg you are a mother. Don't let people get you down. People are ignorant.

    Welcome and I'm sorry for your loss . To quote Dr Seuss a person's a person no matter how small. No one has the right to downsize or compare your pain . They think they are being helpful or "positive" but they aren't . You are the only person who is allowed to make those measurements of your own loss!
