NO advil TTC??

I had no idea about advil and TTC, But I had a migraine on CD 15 and took one and then again on CD 18.. I never normally take it for headaches but I was out of Tylenol. I normally only take advil with AF .. Now I read all kinds of info about how it can cause delayed or no ovulation and issues with implantation.. I am so mad at myself for this

I'll preface this with - I'm not a doctor - but I can't imagine that one Advil taken twice will have much (any) impact.  I do try to do Tylenol while I'm TTC, but sometimes Tylenol just doesn't cut it and I have to take some ibuprofen.

I definitely agree with @Heath&Jas‌ on this one. I can't imagine 2 doses doing that much damage. The stress and worry of what might happen because you took them could be more counterproductive than the Advil!

This is news to me. 

Om my. I take Ibuprofen OFTEN! I have chronic headaches and often get migraines.

I wonder if its possible that this had been part of the problem TTC for so long.

@runner76 If you're really concerned about this I would consider calling your Dr and asking this question. Maybe even a pharmacist but they may point you to your Dr. You are going to read ALL kinds of things on the internet and it's hard to know what is true and what is not.

It has been shown to increase the risk of miscarriage. I avoid ibuprofen during the 2WW and FW if possible. It is mainly for superstitious reasons since I had a mc and would like to avoid another one if possible; thus I limit risk where I can.

I was told by my RE to avoid advil altogether while TTC. Not sure why, but maybe going forward consult with your doc before taking it again?

My doc suggested I cut way back (I used to use 3-4 x a week). I've tried not to use at all, but it's hard. Tylenol does nothing for my headaches and makes me feel queasy. I've broken down a couple times and reached for the Advil, I'm hoping an occasional indiscretion won't hurt my chances!

My RE told me no Advil/Ibuprofen/NSAID drugs whatsoever while in a cycle. Which sucks because Tylenol does squat for my headaches, but hey just another thing to give up for the cause.

I asked my dr if this was the reason why we possibly didn't conceive over the last 3 years and possibly was the problem.....cause i have chronic headaches. 

Im not sure if she was trying to make me feel better about our situation but she said i would be needing to pretty much have it be part of my daily routine to cause a problem. 

I don't think i made it clear to her how much i use it though. I may cut it out when/if we get the go ahead to TTC again.

Woa...I didnt know this either. It my medicine of choice, I don't use it alot but have in the past.

do u think it is okay to use during period though  as long as its stopped before ovulation time ?
