Poll #3 for baby boy.

Our original name long ago was Gabriel Joseph. Joseph is DH's MN. But then we weren't sure if we loved it, looked for other names, didn't fall in love with any, and now are back to really liking Gabriel. In a previous poll someone suggested Gabriel with the MN Josiah (which had been a FN option), which I LOVE, but DH isn't sure about using Josiah as a MN, since that was a contender for FN and if we have another boy down the road, he thinks he may want us to use it for him. So, what do you think? Our last name is two syllables and starts with "Al". Hope that all makes sense!

ETA: We like Biblical names/names with significant meanings.

I vote to go with YH's middle name. I love family significance in a MN. My Gabriel has my husband's middle name, and if we have another boy, it will have my dad's first name as his middle.

That's how I feel. I don't necessarily think it's silly, but I really love the Gabriel Josiah combination. But we have had such a hard time finding names we like for a FN, that if we use Josiah, it might be that much harder to name a future son!

My in-laws re-used DH's middle name as a first name for his little brother. It's not weird and DH and BIL think it's cool. 

I say use the mn you like best and then if you decide to use the name as a fn later, go for it.

It's hard to place bets on future kids. Will there be another one? Will #2 be a boy? Will there be another totally fitting name that pops up that you love just as much, if not more, by that time?

I would use Gabriel Josiah. You have the chance now, and both you and YH love both names. What a win!

If you are considering using Josiah for a potential future baby I wouldn't use it for a middle name now.

I think Gabriel Joseph flows better anyways.

I like Josiah or Joseph as the first name more than Gabriel.

I don't really like Joseph as a FN for us, @marjb09. We have decided on Gabriel for his FN, and I will probably create a poll for MN's in the next couple days! We have a lengthy list of options, so I'm going to get it narrowed down then see what people think.
