Somewhat off-topic but related. Our grocery store gave away bags of frozen shrimp to anyone who bought $50 worth of groceries a couple of weeks ago. I've never cooked with frozen shrimp. Ideas? Maybe something like shrimp étouffée or jambalaya in the crockpot with shrimp added right at the end? I keep looking at that bag, and it's taunting me.

@mommyatty I love this fried rice recipe. I make it with shrimp during Lent. Like @PrivacyWanted said just defrost in a bowl of cold water (or your refrigerator) and cook in a little oil and butter.
