How big is your maternity wardrobe?

Re: How big is your maternity wardrobe?

  • I need dress/professional clothes for work so I'm slowly buying things as I see sales. So far I have 3 dress pants, 2 jeans, 1 legging, 1 tights, 4 dressesand probably 10 -12 tops.

I can still wear regular sweaters over the tops and some of my wrap dresses still fit (with the maternity leggings and tights). I know I'll probably spend more than I want to but I hope to have at least 1-2 more kids so I hope I'll get to reuse everything!

  • I have a BeBand so I can still wear all of my jeans, 2 tops, a bunch of cardigans and tank tops, and of course hoodies and sweats :)
  • I work in a professional setting, plus I like to shop (and have also had great luck at my local thrift store), so I have a lot of different things.  It is probably a little excessive but who cares? ;)

4 pairs of work pants (1 in the next size up for late pregnancy), two pairs of jeans and one casual pair of pants, three pairs of black leggings, 4 pairs maternity tights, a few dresses, three pairs of workout bottoms, new bras (thanks expanding boobs), a few camis that help some of my pre-pg shirts work, some larger undies, and maybe 7-10 maternity tops.  Plus a few belly bands, but I'm past using those now.  I had a lot of flowy or stretchy pre-pg dresses that I have thrown into the mix as well.  This is my first kid and hopefully I can wear this stuff for the next kiddo.

My favorite look for work right now is a dress, blazer, leggings, and boots with fun jewelry or a scarf.  Maternity work pants are alternately terrible and amazing for me.

For those of you who are Stitch Fix fans, they now offer maternity clothes!  I got my first box a few weeks ago and loved it.
  • I have one pair of jeans, two summer skirts, five tops and one dress. DS was a summer baby, hence the skirts and dress. I'll have to get more jeans, warmer tops and a coat this time.
  • I have 3-4 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of dress pants, 2 pairs of leggings, 3-4 dresses and probably about 15 shirts. This sounds like so much once I write it out but I needed two wardrobes last time.

  • I have 6 jeans(got two pair for 3.99) 2 dress pants 1 black pants 1 jean skirt 1 dress. 2 sweaters 4dressier tops 6-10 tshirt tops.
I was lucky and got given most of my jeans and tops.
Still can wear my regular leggings and a couple cardigans/open front sweaters on top to change things up. Haven't been able to wear my reg pants since about 8 weeks as baby is sitting so low
  • I wear jeans to work and sit at a desk all day. The first month or two were super uncomfortable in regular jeans unbuttoned so I went and bought 3 pairs of mat jeans at a thrift store for a few dollars. As I got bigger I had bought 1 more pair of jeans and 2 mat shirts. A lady I work with so very graciously gave me about 4 garbage bags full of mat clothes a few weeks ago so I have quite the large sized wardrobe right now. Her daughter was pregnant last year at the same time so I'm pretty much set. I actually believe I have more mat clothes than regular clothes now lol

I have an obnoxiously large maternity wardrobe, complete with multiples of shorts, capris, pants, jeans, skirts and sweats for bottoms and tanks, t's, dresses, blouses and sweaters for shirts.  It is crazy.  When I was pregnant with DS last time around, I bought myself a few things, but then my two of my SIL's sent me their maternity wardrobes since they were both done having babies, and shortly afterwards a friend sent me hers as well.  This time around two additional friends have sent me things as well.  I like having so SO many options, and the reality is that I only paid for maybe 15-20% of what I actually have hanging in my closet now :)

Oh, I also have shoes.  People look at me funny, but I wear "maternity shoes" as I call them.  Last time, my feet went from an 8.5 to a 10.  This time, I started back at a 9, and now with the twins, I'm wearing my 10s again already (didn't happen until maybe 26-28 weeks last time!!).  I bought a total of 4 pairs, spent maybe $50 total on them at the Naturlizer outlet.  Super comfy and pretty cute :)

  • I have only one shirt and a two nursing bras (regular bras are too small and was hurting me). I'm just not really showing at the moment. I have noticed some of my regular shirts are starting to get tight and small though.

when I get my paycheck from my new job I can go ahead and do some shopping.

  • I have 4 or 5 pairs of jeans, a pair cords, a couple pairs of black pants, a few dresses, leggings, several sweaters and 8-10 tops. But, this is my 5th pregnancy and my friend just gave me all her old maternity clothes, so I'm doing pretty well. I've got another box of summer maternity up in the attic.
