If this where a sign of labor then I've been in labor this entire pregnancy since cleaning and organizing is what i do for a living.

Ok someone seriously had to stop scaring FTMs with the "nesting means labor" thing. Several peeps told me that during my last pregnancy. It's a mean and scary misconception.

I started nesting with DD at like 5 months and she was born a day after her due date. I wish i was nesting this go round. I dont have the energy to nest.

I had a week long span of nesting about two months ago, haven't delivered yet.

In all seriousness though, they say nesting is a sign of labor to begin but I'm not buying it at all. I think we all just feel the need to clean this and organize that.

I agree with this. What if our SO is the one nesting?

Some people are planners and just like things to be done early.

Typically this time of year anyway I clean my entire house out to make room for all the new stuff that comes with christmas. Anytime someone in our family gets a gift they don't want example a a towel warmer they bring it to my house and give to us for some reason.

My DBF is constantly nesting. He also cooks, is a compulsive cleaner & just handy in general. I'm the useless one on the couch scratching my balls who can't tell the difference between a duvet and a comforter.

I have the opposite of nesting when I'm pregnant. Normally, I enjoy sewing and organizing. When I'm pregnant, my house is a disaster and I don't even want to look at my sewing machine.

Omg my DH I think has gained as much as me. Hes also got a case of manboobs happening. Reminds me of the episode of house where this guy goes into sympathy labor and his wife if going off on him and house keeps making cracks about all the estrogen that must be coursing through her husbands veins lol

I think it is a normal process, but by no means indicates labor. I've been nesting since about 8 weeks. I am a serious planner, love bargain hunting, and a craft-a-holic. Those three things together make for some serious nesting.

Other women just don't get into it as much, which is still ok. I think it is more of a personality thing than anything else.

I nest more when the baby gets here. I didn't nest much with DD. My house is a disaster now, I just don't have the energy. Once baby gets here I really am in the mood to clean.

Pretty much nothing gets done at my house during the weekday. I noyl do anything on the weekends.

We usually buy a lot of take out but I'm trying to get in the swing of using my crock pot everyday again. Other than that dishes get done like every other day and nothing else.

In the 3rd tri I always clean - a lot. This pregnancy (baby #3) I have turned into a remodeling machine! Here I am nearly 32 weeks pregnant and I am carrying drywall downstairs with husband, painting, framing a basement, and doing electrical work - and I feel great I just know how valuable our time is now with just 2 kids and we wont have any time once #3 is born, so we are hoping to get our huge 1,000 sq foot basement finishing project completed before baby gets here...or else i fear it will never get done.

I've been telling myself I need to clean the whole house and get baby's room put together and done for weeks! Just don't have the energy. I am 30 weeks and determined to force myself to atleast clean the house this weekend and then next weekend get her room together.
