spinoff: EBF

I always took "EBF" to mean "exclusive breastfeeding" meaning only breastmilk, no other supplements (including formula OR solids).

So I considered that I EBF my DD for 5.5 months and then introduced solids (while still breastfeeding).

Am I wrong?

Just opened GHM's post on "EBF for 12 months or more" thinking "wow, I didn't think that was too common!"

You're right. I meant no supplements, obviously most kids start solids by 12 months (although Bella was more like 10 months, not 6).

I consider myself to have EBF him for 6 months, then BF with solids until 11.5 months when we introduced milk at 1 meal a day.

I continued to BF several times a day until 14 months.

I think technically in the lactation world, EBF does refer to what you're feeding your child so EBF would mean ONLY breastmilk, no solids. ?But, it was obvious to me in GHM's post that she meant only breastmilk, no formula, in addition to any solids. ?I do say that I EBF my boys until 18 months, even though they, obviously got food, just never formula

I totally understood GHM's intent when I read the content of the post. . . it was just when I saw the title it made me think "Have I been wrong all along?"
