Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Possible m/c. Early symptoms?

My LMP was 10/2. I've never had a regular cycle and it's been especially crazy once I got my first period after my first born. It took over a year to come back. My cycles have ranged anywhere from 25 - 44 days long. My doctor calculated gestational age based on the LMP anyway. We expected to be at 6 weeks when we went for our first appointment. She could barely see anything when she did a vaginal u/s. She could tell it wasn't tubal, but that was about it. She asked how certain I was about the date. I am certain. She asked me to come back in 2 weeks. This time the doctor was able to see more. Based on the fetal pole measurement, they were thinking 6 weeks again. They couldn't detect a heartbeat. I was sent to the lab for a Beta hCG level test. It came back at 77617. I went back 2 days later. That result was 78029. Everything I've read says it should increase much more than that. My doctor is very concerned that I might miscarry. They've scheduled me for an emergency appointment this Tuesday "to confirm." I'm not feeling any symptoms of m/c - no bleeding or cramping. I still feel pregnant - slight nausea, frequent urge to urinate, food cravings, etc. I guess what I'm asking is, has anyone else experienced the same thing and it ended in miscarriage? I'm terrified, but I really want to know. Tuesday can't get here fast enough.

Re: Possible m/c. Early symptoms?

  • I am so sorry you are in this limbo. Have you had those symptoms throughout your pg? Every experience is different, however, with my last mc I was not nauseous until 2 days before the mc started. That may or may not be the case with you. My number only went up to around 3000. Unfortunately, you have to wait until you get that confirmation.

  • I'm sorry you're in limbo, that's so hard. Is there a chance you will MC? Yes but unfortunately you will have to wait to see the Dr. One of my MC's was at 10 weeks and the baby stopped growing at 6. I had pregnancy symptoms up until my MC started.

    Good luck, hon *hug*
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • I am sending positive vibes your way. I hope everything goes well at your appt.
