Anyone with experience BF after breast reduction?

Hello, I'm usually posting over on Feb 15, but think this board is more appropriate for this one...

Last year, I had a breast reduction. I'm planning on breastfeeding and pumping, as I will return to work soon after baby gets here. This is baby #3, but my first two I didn't have any success BFing. That was 10 years ago.

Has anyone here had a reduction and success BFing after? Any recommendations on pumps OTHER THAN Medela (insurance pays for one, but not that brand)? What exactly is a nipple shield and how is it used? How do you know what size flanges you need?

I also have flat nipples and need any advice for latching and using a pump in that respect.
