    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::Warning BFP mentioned::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

    At this point I am doing no exercise.  We got our first BFP ever with IVF#2, but I have been spotting/bleeding for over a week.  They did a few extra betas when it first started and they continued to double.  I went for a really early US yesterday.  They saw a gestational sac, but it was empty.  It could be just too early or it could be a blighted ovum; only time will tell.  They have not officially put me on bedrest, but told me to stay off my feet as much as possible.  So, no exercise for me!
    Me 27 DH 29 Married since 2007, together since 2001
    Off BC since Febuary 2006 3 Clomid Cycles in 2008- symptomatic, US just showed a tilted uterus, otherwise normal, HSG normal.  DH has an ejaculatory duct obstruction and a congenital absence of the vas deferens.  This is common with cystic fibrosis carriers, but he doesn't have cystic fibrosis. IVF #1 with TESE/ICSI (Antagonist protocol) Aug 2014=BFN (poor embryo quality)   IVF #2 ICSI long lupron protocol November 2014

  • Thank you @lemonliz for taking over :) You're doing great working towards your goals. Don't worry if you "fall short" - this is the type of thing that you reach for the stars, but we'll settle for the moon if we can't make it all the way out yonder :)

    @rainbowbridge14 - let yourself off the hook a little. It sounds like you are pushing hard with both the IVF cycle and marathon. Listen to your body and take care of yourself. And reading about your 14 miler made me shudder... I have had a few runs like that. HORRIBLE. The one that comes to mind is the 2011 LHV Marathon. I started feeling off around 13.1 miles, but kept pushing (I was aiming for a sub-4:00). At Mile 16, I took a walk break and had a few pretzels to try to settle my stomach... ended up puking. Walked it out, and decided to keep going. Puked again, and my core temperature came down so that I was starting to shiver and my fingers were white and tingly. An EMT checked my vitals and said that I was ok, so I tried to walk/run the rest of the race (and obviously let go of my time goal). When I got to Mile 23.8, I stopped to take a break at an aid station. The first step back in the race was so painful and turned my stomach so badly that I threw in the towel. I did not finish the race, and was so upset that I came all that way and fell short by 2.4 miles. I didn't get my medal, and was so bummed :( Since then, I've had a few dry heaving episodes while running, and my stomach is always my sensitive spot. I really do think that the hormones play a large role in all of it. I'm sorry that you're dealing with it too!!!

    @alpCRNA - keep those feet up & I'm hoping it was too early for you, dear! I'll be stalking for updates!!

    ******Pg Mentioned******
    AFM, I am beyond antsy and itching to go for a run. The RE & RI both said NO WAY JOSE to the running, but I'm hoping that they'll give me clearance soon. If not, I will manage. I am so grateful that we have come this far and wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize the Pg. I got a workout DVD that is specifically geared towards the three trimesters. The 1st Tri workout was pretty awesome! I skipped the abs workout (my RE said no abdominal work for now) and spent 45 minutes movin' it :) It felt good! As far as diet goes, I was doing a low-carb/gluten-free/dairy-free diet during our conception cycle as recommended by Dr. KK (low-carb) and a nutritionist (GFDF). I could literally feel the bone density slipping from my feet and hands, so I decided to ditch the dairy-free part of the diet. At that point, I decided to ditch the gluten-free thing too. I'll stick with the low-carb thing though because that part was actually doctor recommended.

    Have a great week, ladies! Go Team FUIF!!

  • @lemonliz - Good for you for keeping up with your fitness goals! It's so hard to watch the food intake this time of year, so don't beat yourself up about it :) The fact that you're getting back on track is what matters! (Plus, food is delicious! Why deprive yourself every time. You deserve to indulge every once in awhile!)

    @rainbowbridge14 - I'm so sorry you're having a rough time with the new BCPs and running :( Is it possible to switch to something else? (Maybe NuvaRing, since it's supposed to be more direct?)

    @alpCRNA - I really REALLY hope it's just too early to see anything! Bleeding is supposed to be really common in early pregnancy, but it's next to impossible to turn off the IF brain to tell yourself that. I hope it stops soon for you and your next US shows a nice strong heartbeat!

    @RunCC37 - Go you! I can't imagine having to cut out all of that for 9 months, so I'm in the eat the ice cream camp! Glad you're feeling good :)

    Not much going on here. I have my next appointment with the nutritionist on Thursday, so I'll find out "officially" how much weight I've lost, but I think I'm pretty close to my goal? Regardless of that, I feel fantastic! I don't know if it's the cutting down on crap, the Ubiquinol, the Selenium, or a combination, but a girl could get used to this!

  • Hi Ladies!

    Thanks @lemonliz for volunteering for running the check-ins!

    @alpCRNA I'm sending you lots of thoughts and prayers.

    AFM my Nov IVF was converted to an IUI and it was officially a BFFN on Friday, which wouldn't have been so bad, but I was having all these "symptoms" that made me start to hope, but it turned out to be a freakin' UTI! And then AF hit hard on Saturday, so I was pretty miserable about the whole situation. I'd already decided to go for a second opinion (I'm faxing in the request for my records today!) So figure the soonest I will cycle again is Feb.

    The good news is that as of Saturday, I'm down a little more than 50lbs and have lost more than 10 percentage points of body fat in about 17 weeks. I'm at my lightest weight in more than a decade, and since I'm not on any restrictions right now, I'm going to keep up with the diet and kick my running back into gear to see how fit I can get before I cycle again. Also adding back in ab exercises to see if I can finally get rid of my belly pouch, too! So I'm trying to focus on the positives and hoping that if I can get back into an easy running routine before I finally do get KU I can continue it for a decent bit. I'm going to sign up for a 5K race around Valentine's Day.
